I am wondering if the Corolla GLI bigbody has already achieved the "modern classic" status that is worth keeping for generations. If not, what is?

Yup, the corolla big body is a worth keeping vehicle. ( I own one. )

    But . . .

I find the civic also a great / worth keeping vehicle.

Well, all cars are worth keeping if taken of properly.

If you're one of the few who has a Civic SiR that's a keeper for me in the 90's.

    1992-1997 Corolla (Big Body) 1.6 GLi m/t

    1994-1997 Accord 2.0 or 2.2 VTEC m/t

1990-1994 Galant (last model year with skirts on the bumper was the best)

    Mazda Miata

1997-1999 Expedition - if mechanical parts lasted this long without too much repairs.

'96-'99 Honda City . . . small, fuel efficient, quick (excellent power to weight ratio), and highly maneuverable.

I read once that the City Type-Z does 0-100km/h in about 9 secs.! Impressive given that its engine is quite small.

So is the car. That's why it's so quick. Nice little toy, actually. Too bad it rusts like no one's business. :grin"

Some 90's hatchbacks in Europe could do 0-100 in around 8 seconds with just 1.5 - 1.6 liter engines...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Yan din napasin ko in general sa 90s local Honda sedans--kalawangin.

What car sold in the 1990s that is a keeper?
