Registration for brand new cars "Good for 3 years"

Inquired about a 1.3 petrol car and part of the payment is a 3 year registration that cost P9000. how come? Are they for brand new vehicle only?

emission test is once na nga lang, katwiran siguro nila is bago naman at may DENR compliance sticker na.

PEro disadvantage, dati kasi libre na ang LTO registration sa mga dealers and kasama na duon ang one year. ngayon babayaran mo na tatlo

1600x3 plus computer, sticker, and misc fees lang yata for a 1.3 cars like my vios pero overcharge singil ng mga dealers/agent. sa resibo its only 5800 for 3 years ng vios 1.3 pero 8000 singil sa iba naman 6800 lang. d ba nga dapat free kahit yung portion ng para sa 1 year eh lumalabas kumita pa agent sa registro.

yep .. sana naman pwede yung 3 year reg rule for older cars .. na less than 1 or 2 years old ... i got a car nung nov 2004 na up na yung reg this june ...
