Pa share naman opinion niyo dito. I'm seriously considering a pre-owned Pajero Fieldmaster over brand new Innova G Gas (970K) and Everest 4X2 (1095K). Of all the fieldmaster units for sale I've seen I found this one slightly cheaper and fresher over the other.

Pajero fieldmaster 2001, white, 70TKm, all orig (daw), casa record
asking price is 860K, puede pa baratin. ang gusto ko lang dito is I'm dealing with the owner at mukhang nagsasabi naman ng tutuo. His from Ayala-Alabang at yung unit andun lang sa bahay pero ginagamit pa rin once in a while. Before I'll bring a mechanic to check the unit just want to have some comments from pajero owners here if this is worth to consider seriously... thanks in advance to tsikot.com

thanks Odell. Is checking the vehicle's plate number at the TMG is enough? Pumapayag ba LTO na magbigay ng info about the vehicle i.e, engine no., chassis no.? I'm also planning to check with Casa kung tutuong siya yung owner and all the info he's telling with me. Minsan pag mababa kasi ang price nakakapag duda.. thanks again.

You should bring the vehicle to crame to check the records and Macro etching (pls. correct me if my spelling is wrong)the engine no and chasis no just to be sure kelangan kasama mo yong seller kasi pag may kaso yan baka ikaw ang maksuhan.

2001 Field Master *70T Kms.? almost 14000Km a year, but not bad ha. check mo muna ang record sa Crame. if it is legit, then go for it. as for the records with the casa, you could check that too, but once you have decided to have an occular, better to bring along your trusted mechanic to check the vehicle. also, don't be afraid to ask the owner kung ano ang mga naging sira at possible na masira pa...

good enough price for a keeper but still try to lower it down. But buying one will depend on how much mileage you plan to get out of the car per year. It would be a very good buy for its price if you dont rack up very high miles on it every year but if you plan to use it everywhere and chalk up the miles then i suggest you try to get it cheaper to offset some parts change once it reaches the 100Tkm mark.

You may call the Casa also to check the autenticity of the maintenance record and some other owners information. Casa usually shares this information to potential buyers, i did this when I bought my civic. You may check the owners and address as declared on Casa and if the maintenance history. At that price, mura na yun.
You might want to use the search function for some advices on what to check on buying 2nd hand pajero, there was a list compiled for 2 years now. Drive it around and feel the diesel power and engine noise, medyo maingay kasi Pajero compared to most newer cars expecially the gasoline. But I will recommend anytime the 4yrs old pajero than Innova.
By the way the 2001 comes with 4x2 na diba and not the original 4x4 Fieldmaster?
    Good luck.

good buy yan as long as the papers hold up and it's not a carnapped unit.

thanks sa lahat ng reply.. i just talk to the owner and ask him the history of the fieldmaster (as Ian_rex suggested) and the owner seems to be telling the truth... the potential problem would be aircon as it is not giving coolness that a suv should supposed to do.. but reaasured that definitely it is not the compressor. According to Joseph (of Multinaitonal) it needs a system pulldown and replacement of 2 expansion valves and a drier. If there's a leak then it might be another story. btw the unit is 4X2, white, and matic. I am not into off-roading so 4X2 would be fine.

I believe that the owner is honest kasi I know where he works and lives (he lives at ayala-alabang) and it's OK with him to have the records check at Citimotors. My trusted Pajero mechanic is not yet available so I couldn't decide if this is a go or not. Would appreciate if you can suggest someone who is from Alabang area to check the unit for me. Of course there will be a little present for the effort.. thanks again.

Kung low budget a/c lang ok na kay Mang Mario. Siya ang dahilan kung bakit wala akong takot kumuha ng mga segunda manong sira ang aircon. hehehe. Laki pa ng naitatawad ko sa seller. :D

that's not bad. i got my blister pajero in november of '00. can be classified as '01 model already. it now has 69T kms. it really is a nice ride. wala ako reklamo, other than the usual kalampag ng mitsubishi.

    thanks po sa reply.

been there at seller house last night to further check the unit at nalaman ko bakit nagka ganun aircon. yung owner mukhang napalagay ang loob sa akin nagkwento na ng history... kaya pala nagkaganun aircon kasi dinala sa RAPIDE for a/c checkup... sa isip isip ko.. BIG BIG MISTAKE!! ang ginawa daw ng RAPIDE - system pulldown with orig parts replacement at palit aux fan. umabot daw ng 25K for a/c checkup.. kita ko resibo.. then after a few days ayan na nawawala na ang lamig ng pajero.. ilang beses silang pabalik balik sa RAPIDE hanggang namura na daw ang manager at sumuko na lang sila... kaya nahiritan ko ulit ng tawad - bumaba na sa 830K... konting barat pa at baka bumaba pa.. hehehe

Otep, Pajerokid san po ba yung ke Mang Mario? puede ko kaya pakiusapan si Mang Mario to check the unit for me?..
