Help! planning to buy my 1st car 2nd hand

Mga sir patulong sana ko sa inyo kung ano ok bilin na sasakyan 2nd hand lang po muna. Budget is 450k - 550k. nagugustuhan ko po is lancer EX GTA 2010 model. Any other recommendation? Maraming salamat

I would rather save a little more and buy a brand new car (though smaller) with that budget. I will only consider a second hand car if I really know the seller and I'm sure that the vehicle was never flooded and it's well maintained.

thanks cathy. sorry nakalimuta ko lagay na 20-30% down ko sana tapos remaining is financing 5yrs to pay if ever. target ko sana monthly ko is around 9-10k a month para hindi ganun kabigat. Thanks

Banks offer financing for vehicles 3 years old and below. Some other financing companies facilitate loans for units older than 3 years but the rates are much higher. Nowadays the competition is so stiff that these financing institutions go neck and neck with their rates. Even 2nd hand car dealerships offer in house financing for their units.

Punta ka lang edsa right after sm north dami second hand car dealers duun. The good thing about these dealers or buy and sell is its their job to make sure ok yung auto.

They dont buy flooded or major accident na car since di din nila mabebeta

Para ma check mo kung flooded lagi mo tignan un mga wirings sa loob, dapat makinis lahat, pag meron kang nakita na nagbago kulay ng wire iwas ka na. Flooded is one, after ka bumili ng 2nd hand palit filter at oil lahat yan.

I'm also saving up for 06-07 Civic FD kaso I find them still expensive compared to 07 Ford Focus HB. Siguro dahil sa issues ng Ford? Please enlighten me on this.

I dislike installment terms even with today's relatively low interest rates. Buy something cheaper - this IS your first car so it makes sense to pinch wallets muna before going for a second car. Hindi ko alam family background niyo but assuming you won't be receiving any help, going for the secondhand market is great - it's just that you need to do your due diligence before purchasing.

As for the cars, if secondhand and you don't plan on reselling, then Mazda's secondhand value is quite rockbottom. Truth be told, I feel they're quite under-appeciated. With the recent great releases (Mz6, Mz3, CX5, etc.) they've began regaining market share again. You can get a 2.0 '06 Mazda3 at a more affordable price than the Lancer EX. But if you want a sensible option, best go for secondhand Vioses.

Bigtime siguro erpats at nanay ko pero hindi ko naman sariling pera ang pinambili ng mga yan. Pamana nalang yan. Gusto ko kase magkaron ng sarili ko someday na masasabe kong pinaghirapan ko yan at di bigay ng magulang and besides my dad is not getting any younger, 2 years more at magretire na rin siya from working overseas. And I always think of the welfare of my family especially my 10 yr old sister. How can I still maintain the lifestyle that my dad used to give us. The thing with seafarers/seamen is they don't have any retirement pay or separation pay.
