Mazda Tribute 2.3L 4X2, Nissan X-trail 2.0L 4X2 or Ford Escape 2.3L 4X2. These are my choices. Whats the best? Plan to buy soonest. Thanks in advance for your help.

the escape is cheapest at 999k but the tribute comes with a 5-year warranty. i believe the 2.0L xtrail is a bit underpowered so it would probably guzzle gas. i'd go for the escape (cheapest!) or the tribute (+200k gets you a 5-year warranty).

Among your choices, I'd pick the X-trail.

Do look at the gen 2.5 CR-V.

X-trail 2.0 will give you roughly around 7-7.5km/li for city driving. HTH

mazda and ford looks kinda the same. same engine pa nga ata eh. xtrail for the 2.0 is quite a gas guzzler, if you can look at the 250x xtrail that might be a better choice.

    Hi!

Thanks for the response. budget-wise i agree with the escape choice however, i'm really torn as the tribute definitely has more in its package.

Tucson? Hmmm... have note really looked at it yet. But I will, thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, I agree on this too. Though the ride of the x-trail stands out from the rest of the pack. The 250x definitely is a better choice but then a mid size suv will then be a better alternative with the same budget.

AFAIK, the Tribute has only one variant, a 3.0 V6 FWD. Only the Escape has a 2.3-liter 4. This is a great buy given the value for money. The 880K Tucson may also be worth the look, but hopefully it's also a diesel. I actually like the Hyundai's looks - cuter than all but the RAV. The CR-V 2.4 now has a 5-speed automatic, beating all the others by a gear. This is the one to buy if you have extra.

Test drove these units already and I would suggest the Tribute 2.3L. However, Im not sure in its consumption. Nice audio control on the steering wheel

Based on feedback, malakas fuel consuption ng Ford Escape and mababa resale value. Try mo din yun Kia Sorento! Trip ko din yun eh. Sabi ng iba, ok daw reviews ng Hyundai Tucson pero di ko trip looks nito. Mas maganda if you can test drive the units before making your final decision. Malaking investment din yan. Good luck!

also tignan mo rin ang aftermarket maintenance convenience of all your choices kasi i heard there are bad rumors regarding the poor service ng mga casas ng mazda, honda in their warranty claimings naman. but it's just me, pero wala namang mawawala sa pag-research ng mga aftermarket support ng each brand di ba. don't rely on the looks and product features alone.
