this is the same thing i did when i bought my first car. 200k cash ko and got a loan for 80k. bought the car for 250k, the rest was for emergency repairs.
at that time though i was quite confident that i could handle the monthly amort, around 4k+ for 24 months. actually kaya ko nga kumuha ng brand new noon pero ikakasal kasi ako kaya nag 2nd hand na lang ako.

if you really do not want to get a brand new one, ipon lang as the others said.
having a second hand car can exhaust your resources.... on the maintenance and repairs part.
if your target is around 200k, then you might as well save up to 250-275k first.

January 13th, 2016 11:36 AM #8getting a loan to buy a used car, is like burning your candle at both ends. eventually, masusunog daliri mo.
gumagastos ka na to repay the loan, gumagastos ka pa to fix up the used car.
but if you really want to get a car, then buy one that costs 100K. 90s cars... corolla.. sentra.. lancer.. it takes but patience, and a bit of luck. and most of all... don't rush!Last edited by dr. d; January 13th, 2016 at 11:41 AM.

Alam ko me tinatawag pa silang chattel mortgage at syempre yung rehistro at insurance.
Choice I would have made as well.
