why is it that old model hilux prices hold value better than the newer models?????? i've seen lots of hilux ads for 2003-2006 models priced from 290K to only about 400K whereas 1994-1997 hilux models are priced from 300K to 600K?????

AFAIK, the 1993 - 1997 model and the 2003 models still share the same platform. The new body was brought in around 2005 or 2006.

Look if it's a 4x2 or 4x4 model; it's the 4x4 model that really keeps its value.
