I'm choosing between these two models for daily driving lng po.

2006 Honda Civic 1.8V AT

OR

2008 Toyota Vios 1.5G MT

I'd get the Vios solely because it is manual. If theyare both matic I'd get the Civic.

The Vios MT is sleek shifting, smooth and really extracts the most out of the 1.5L engine.

The Vios is also cheaper by 50k, newer, lesser mileage, has more features and does include dual airbags and ABS.

Lastly, it is of course, more fuel efficient than the Civic.

I get 8~9km/l on a manual FD.

Well, I shift at high rpm's, 3k~3.5k.

Engine acceleration is really good, nakakaaaddict i-birit ang FD. hehe.

One thing that you might not like is it's seats though. Headrests are, ugh. Seats are hard too.

I would also get the Vios.

Mas malaki lang at mas mabilis yung FD. Yun lang. Kasi 1.8V yan eh. 2006 pa. No ABS no airbags. Just like Isuzu Crosswind.

tsaka pag pinahataw mo na yung Vios M/T, mga 3000 RPM above.. naku sarap pakinggan nung engine.

Vios din ako. I own that 1.8V A/T and a Yaris M/T which is same with Vios 1.5G M/T and I appreciate the Yaris' fuel economy. The Civic hindi ako maka double digit even if I try my best. Sa Yaris no sweat even Makati traffic laging above 11km/L, pag conscious pa ako to do an economy drive 14km/L is also easy... But definitely once you rev the Civic mga 4000RPM ang saya-saya dyan walang sinabi yung Yaris although I like the engine sound of the Yaris more though... Pero sound lang yan the Civic has the horses to back it up!
