what kind of mini? if the cooper s then go ahead and buy one! very quick little car, and one of the most fun to drive car there is, i had more fun on a mini cooper s than on my STi.

so the difference between the cooper and cooper s is the engine power.

i think i will just go with the ordinary cooper.

just need some feedbacks, good and bad.

i've seen both. cooper & cooper s.

imo, dun ka na sa cooper s. yung cooper .. super bare niya sa labas. parang ordinary hatchback nga lang eh ...

It's small, cramp, expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, seats only two, impractical for daily driving and you can buy a better car for the same money.

It does drive well but you can get good driving cars for the same or even less money.

Personally I wouldn't get one.

I know the Cooper is a 4 seater on paper but in reality the rear seats don't have any legroom at all if the front seats are adjusted for normal sized adults.

The only use the rear seats is a place for shopping bags or kids with amputated legs.

Even the Mini Cooper Clubman, which supposed to have more interior space, is only marginally better with the rear seat legroom.

The current Mazda MX-5 (Miata) or Subaru Impreza WRX would be a better purchase for the same price range.

we want to dispose our swift in exchange for a cooper. but since cooper is not practical, then the swift will stay...thanks for the infos anyway.

Compared sa Cooper, Swift parin ako. It, at least, has four doors and a trunk and can properly seat four people or five, in a pinch. I've seen one at QC regularly that has stickers covered at its lights to make it resemble a Mini Cooper along with blue racing stripes on the body. Ganun nalang kaya? Kapag malayo mamamalayan mo talagang tunay na Mini. Tapos add some engine upgrades to make it run like a Cooper.

Its a fun sporty car but in my opinion, the Mini's modern-retro design is getting a bit "tired" already just like the modern Beetle after many years in the market.

Any other cars for consideration?

how much ba cooper s dito sa philippines? in the us kasi kaya worth it kunin kasi di siya expensive. if it's the same price as the wrx, i'd get the cooper s over the wrx any day if we're talking about performance.

The Mini is not a practical purchase. Especially if you're getting the garden variety Cooper with the garden variety 1.6 engine which makes as much power as an Altis and less power than a 1.6 VTEC3 Civic but with double the price. And if you're getting that, you might as well get a Jazz which gives the same amount of power and also has good handling with more space to boot. Then spend the extra change on having it turbo-ed and intercooled then run circles around that Mini Cooper S. Or if subcompact econoboxes aren't your thing, you can get the Genesis Coupe 3.8V6 and let Speedlab do their magic. And there you are with a classy grand tourer that can also run circles around STI's and Evo's, let alone a Mini Cooper S!

Eh yun nga eh! Ano pang brand ang nag-ooffer ng ganoong klaseng car with this level of performance at less than two million bucks? Hell, they can't even field one even if they price it at three milllion bucks. Naku bro, hindi bias yan! Wala na talaga eh! Sige, kapag nirevive ng Honda ang NSX at ibenta dito ng kahit 3M nga. Yun na ang irerecommend ko.
