Hello tsikoters! Can somebody give me a rough estimate of how much I will be spending on LTO transfer of ownership/registration of this 2nd hand vehicle to my name including everything like emission testing, inspection fee, "padulas" to expedite fee, tpl insurance, tmg clearance, etc. It is a 2nd hand 2009 Chevrolet Captiva I recently bought from a dealer. I'll appreciate it if you can post a breakdown of the estimated costs. Thanks in advance!

    prepare around 8k - 8.5k, including registration.

    estimated breakdown:

    450 - emission
    1000 - TPL
    1000 - TMG
1000 - TMG faster processing fee (padulas)
5000 - registration including cost of transfer of ownership.

deed of sale is regardless of the data on the deed of sale?
i mean, what if the transaction happened 2005 (deed of sale dated 2005), the transfer of ownership can happen even after 5 years? does it have "expiration?"

PS: makiki "ride" sa thread as i'm not "updated" on this process anymore...

Do OR and CR always come hand in hand? Di ko masyado gets. Dahil ba June 24, 2013 yung date ng CR ibig sabihin ba registered na itong sasakyan until June 24, 2014? What about the OR, I did not ask the dealer kung bakit, pero bakit nga ba yung OR nito August 10, 2012 pa? Di ba dapat sabay palagi ang OR at CR nirerenew? Again sorry for the noobish question.

Just had a car transferred to my name and it cost me Php 4,000 all in at the MMDA Impound area in Ortigas.

LOL what's the point of having all of these systems kung may pader ng fixers and fake bureaucracy na haharang sayo. Sorry OT haha.

Good luck sa sistemang bulok hehe.

of course yun ang sasagutin sayo! fixer siya, e.
the point is, you have to actively discipline yourself into going to all the steps yourself. that way, you do not have to put in extra "processing fees".
yes, there are fixers. but you are not required to go to them.

+1. I always practice this to myself. Ang kagandahan kase dito eh at least na experience mo mahirapan at the same time nalalaman mo ang tamang proseso.

Thanks for this information. Might be a bit outdated in 2019 but it's certainly helpful.

Anyway, I have a pre-owned car that was repossessed by the bank. It still registered to the previous owner but it's been six months since I've completed my payments to the bank but no transfer of ownership yet. Who's supposed to pay for this transfer fees and registration me or the bank?

    if i am right,
    "you".
when you bought the car from the bank, the money was for the car alone.
everything else beyond that, including mortgage release papers, you are expected to pay for.
