Ano po ba ang chinecheck kung legit sasakyan?

Not me but a friend. Once he won it on a casino bet. Another it was sold to him.

The usual checks when buying a 2nd hand car. Verify the deed of sale (as in call the previous owner, baka naman balak pa niya habulin). Check the OR and CR. Check with LTO for any red flags (e.g., stollen, involved in accident leading to injuries/death, involve in commiting a crime). Also adviseable to know who the owner is (crime boss, person wanted by the law, etc.)

Chineck ko sa lto, under sa name na binigay sakin n or/cr. No way to contact po yung owner, tried po hanapin sa fb and even tried na din po hanapin ung plate no. Ng car sa Google and FB pero wala po ako nakita. Nakakaworry po kasi mag check sa PNP HPG.

just keep renewing lto registration every year, under the original owner's name.

to effect transfer of the vehicle to the new owner, this is what i am familiar with.

you will need the original OR and CR.
you will also need the original deeds of sale from the person whose name appears on the CR to the next buyer to you. (no need for next buyer's if open deed of sale.)
you will also need current (not expired!) ID and signatures of the people involved above.

you also need to have the vehicle cleared sa chpg.

then emissions test.

bring all the above documents to the LTO and they will issue you a new CR with your name on it.
LTO do not doctor or write over CRs. they issue new ones.

how old is that car?
is it possible, that car is still under mortgage? this situation adds yet another veil to the "mystery".

Oo nga kags, ako din akala ko asking for advice kung bibili or not, yun pala nadale na.

So photoshopped yung copy ng or/cr mo ngayon, tapos sinabihan ka na wait 1 year bago mo itransfer? with those wala pa alarm bells na nagwarn sa iyo? You'd better have a lawyer in mind when you do try to register that car in your name.

And for 500k? a vios with dubious papers!? Ang dami mas mura dyan na repossesed cars sigurado ka pa sa papeles.

"Okay lang" depends on the lto not finding out. Kasi bawal.

Also pag nahuli ka for traffic violation, pag nagtanong yung pulis sino yun nasa OR/CR siguruhin mo na ready ka sa isasagot mo.

Kung may ORCR na sa name of mo, why the need to go to HPG? Edi sau. Na ung car, sa encoding naman talaga inaayos yan granted na satisfy ang requirements for transfer.

This is assuming it has an open deed of sale (no date). Ang problem dito pag transfer mo na or sell na, YOU WILL NEED A PHOTOCOPY OF THE OWNER'S CURRENT IDENTIFICATION. So let us say benta mo na siya sa 2025, dapat yung xerox ng ID na nasa iyo ay passport na valid for 10 years.

But it seems wala kang xerox copy ng ID ng owner kasi di mo alam address nya.

P.s., yung xerox must also have 3 specimen signatures of the owner.

May nag kwento sakin nag work daw siya sa casino. Pag may raffle daw na sasakyan don binebenta din daw nung mga nanalo., yung lc200 daw nasa 2m lang binenta cash On Spot, yun na lang abangan mo sure na bago pa. Hehe

I used to have a colleague who makes money out of these people who sell their cars to fund their gambling addiction. He told me that he hangs out in casinos on weekend nights with enough cash to buy out right cars being peddled by owners. He gives out tips to waiters so that they tip him off on a potential deal.

He brings with him deed of sale documents and normally carry between 300k to 500k. He just sit within the bar and wait for a tip. The cars are usually sold around half or less of its expected value. He brings home the car and just sell it off again to buy&sell shops for a decent margin.

Parang fishy ung binura at pinatungan ah, in my case, after encoding, nag generate sila ng new CR, when I needed something erased. Or at least binigyan kayo ng copy nung print out nung na encode na ung name nyo with authentication while waiting for a new CR to replace the snowpaked CR you have
