With all the reports of stolen/carnappings I am a bit worried that a car I have paid a reservation fee on might be stolen,

How can I check it is not? can I call the LTO? I paid a deposit on the car a Auto place near EDSA Entertainment complex, I think called AUTOFAIR.

I only paid a 20K deposit....I also have a copy of the registration document...

    What can I do now?

Please be patient I am English not Pinoy..

    Thanks

there is only one way to find out.
ask for a xeroxed copy of the vehicles official receipt and certificate of registration (OR/CR), go to the Traffic Management Group of the Philippine National Police and validate it from them. That is the only way to see if the vehicle is not carnapped. They will issue you a certification that the vehicle is not clean or is clean.

How do I know if a car is stolen?
