I'm planning to buy a 2nd hand Tamaraw FX by the end of the year. Which model is better, Gasoline or Diesel? Power steering or pawis steering? I am in Mindanao, Tamaraw FX's here are a bit expensive, Diesel: 220-260 thousand, Gasoline 5K: 170-200 thousand. Is it wise to buy in manila? Don't have any idea in bill of lading /freight costs?
P.S.
I've read bad feedbaks regarding 2C diesel engines. I have had some experience driving a Tamaraw FX 94 HSPU stock 2C engine and no power steering. I use it for long drives from Cagayan de Oro to Surigao, Pagadian, Dipolog, Valencia and Ipil. Those are long drives (600km maximum) and I've never experienced breakdowns or engine problems. My average run is 12-14 km/L.
I think Hilander is better for passenger needs. but for Cargo, FX or L300.
regarding your question:
Diesel or Gas?: kahit ano. kung myroon power steering mas ok. puwede mo pa upgrade engine mo to 2C-turbo or even 3C-turbo.
freight costs: mga more or less 16k including papers.
I personaly don't recommend going to Manila. The Price of Manila used car displays doesn't have much difference in other displays anywhere in the Philippines. basta direct seller lang para mas mura.
