parang naghesitate ako sa sagot kc i can only afford to buy 1 car at a time.. so pag nagkaproblema yun, ayaw ko naman na wala ako magamit
ano ba ang mga tips when buying an imported car..
any suggestions would really help
thank you

....check mo kung maganda pag-convert (if u have no hesitations w/ converted units). malamang JDM yan na turbo, cost almost half of the USDM MR2 being sold here.

June 23rd, 2005 08:47 AM #6Like M54 said, you won't regret it. Hanip sa power and porma. I had the 2002 MR2 Spyder 1.8L. Ganda ng performance and balanced kasi mid-engine and only 2,000 LBS. ang body. I did 127 MILES/hr. one day pero may ibubuga pa but my wife can't take it anymore. Anyway, sana nga kung legal ang papers nyan it'll be a nice car.

June 23rd, 2005 11:30 PM #7sa cebu dre sobrang daming jap surplus cars at mostly clean ang papers. here are some that i've seen and made kalikot.
mitsu - fto, gto(v6 twin turbo), evo 7 & 8, 3 door pajero evolution(v6 mivec),
eclipse(2003 ver./ mivec)
nissan - fairlady 280z, 180sx, sylvia(turbo & non turbo), skyline r32 r33 & r34,
pulsar(awd sr20w/turbo)
honda - ep3(new civic hatch), crx, eg6, eg9, ef, ek9, integra(type r & gsr),
rsx, s2000
mazda - rx7, miata turbo
toyota - mr2, starlet(turbo), celica gt4, lexus
I know this coz my friend owns a performance shop in cebu and tambayan namin yung shop nya, those cars that i mentioned are those that i can remember na dinala dun at inusisa namin. This cars are very cheap. a friend of mine from pasay bought a nissan sylvia turbo from cebu 300k lang bili nya, ang ganda pa ng pagkaka convert. dinala nya pauwi sa maynila.

June 23rd, 2005 11:42 PM #8Are those Skyline Rs can be made street legal? I heard mahirap daw i-convert yun ah or almost impossible. Kanina, may MR2 akong nakita.. Parang turbo kasi may narinig akong spooling. Ganda rin ng porma. Parang classic.

Di ba delikado magdrive ng over a 100 with a converted sports car? Any inputs dito? Ano ang usual dangers when driving a converted vehicle? My other relatives owns a Toyota van, Pajero, and a mini Pajero right now, and by the looks of it, ok naman. Kung ok naman, then I guess I would also opt for one, such as the MR2.
