    Hello,

Im in a dilemma right now. Im looking for a 2nd hand suv within 700k max price.
And 2012 fortuner G and 2014 trailblazer nakita ko sa fb.

    1. Si fortuner madali at mura maintenance vs TB.
    2. Si fortuner underpowered makina since 2.5 makina at wala pa turbo. While si TB, king of the hill that year.
    3. Most of the time kapag long drive to provinces medyo puno or mabigat karga kaya factor sakin si #2.
    5. For the price, si fortuner G 4x2, while TB top of the line 4x4.
    6. Fortuner got 60,xxx odo while TB got 4x,xxx

Need ko opinion niyo. Malaki din factor kasi #1

Go for the newer vehicle, as long as you know its maintenance history. The Trailblazer is like 20k km less in terms of use and that 20k km you might reach in a year or two depending on use.

If you intend to sell the vehicle after 2-3 years, then go with Toyota due to its resale value.

VNT Fortuner na yan diba? Yung 2.5 na 144 hp and not the 102 hp?

If yes, the engine will be sufficienct kahit puno with cargo. Not fast like the Trailblazer, but sufficient.

If it's the 2.5 na non-VNT, wag na.

The Vios 1.5L engine is rated at 106hp and it’s not even going to make it a lively drive. What more with a 102hp engine on a much bigger vehicle like the Fortuner? Even with the torque figures of 260Nm, it’s just underpowered.

Fort 2.5 far punchier to drive than Vios 1.3 with 100 hp.

What it doesn't say sa specs is how flat the powerband is of the Fort 2.5. No turbo lag (because low boost) and torque available early on. But if you've driven a 2.5 102hp Fort or Innova or Hilux or Hiace - sufficient yung engine power kahit pang akyat pa ng Baguio. Hindi lang malakas sa overtake but you won't feel bitin.

If you know how to maintain and source out the parts of TB knowing na kunti lang sila sa Pinas and their current status sa market natin, sure go for TB....

if jut is correct, i would go for Fort, also, easy to maintain...

Lahat ng Fort may turbo, even the underpowered 102 hp one.

It just doesn't have an intercooler kaya mahina.

Hindi pa naka timing chain yung generation na yan, if I recall correctly.

    To compare lang.

https://phil kotse.com/toyota-fortuner-year-2013-for-sale (remove space between phil and kotse. tinatago kasi ng forum yung link if yung tamang spacing.)

ginawa ko lang yung mabilis compute na assume ko bnew price is 1.5million php nung binili 2013. 10% depreciation agad paglabas sa dealer, then every year 10% depreciation ulit. 650k to 715k ang lumabas na "market value" based on quick compute. 650k if computed as I mentioned.

    Good luck.

Would personally get a 2.5 Fort over a Trailblazer kahit yung 200 hp pa yan. But that's just me.

plus sa Monty. For 700k you can get a 2014 glsv model baka makakuha ka pa ng GTV. No problem maintenance wise compared to a LTZ and a lot more powerful than a Fortuner without VNT.

Medyo pricey na 2014 monty. Nasa 800k-850k.
