Lyle,
You can't rely on the bank to do the negotiating for you. Your interests do not align perfectly with the bank's interests. Ask several dealers for as much cash discounts as you can get.
As someone who just recently purchased a used car through bank financing, I went through the same process as you.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is to get a car loan template online. I used Google, found the Microsoft template and modified it for my use. Just add some of the additional things like Chattel Mortgage, Comprehensive Insurance, etc.
I found out that "free" Chattel Mortgage from dealers is not really free. You pay for it as part of your loan.

The Comprehensive Insurance from the dealer is usually P5k more than from Insurance companies themselves.
Ask yourself if getting the other freebies are worth the price. IMO, tint is probably the best freebie you can get.
I compared the brand new auto loan rates from BPI and MetroBank. MetroBank seems to be giving out free money, see the following rates they quoted for me:
24 months - 8.56%
36 months - 8.93%
48 months - 9.13%
60 months - 9.59%
