Anyone at HARI should take a closer look on this!

It was ironic for it being called a "Korean Corolla"...

i reviewed the mazda3 sales figures. looks like all models dropped big time.

i'm also eyeing the Mz3 hatch vs. toyota yaris but I guess this report made me go for yaris na talaga

RE: Mazda hatch... too bad... it's a nice car.

RE: Elantra... they're not pushing the car. It seems the only Elantra in the country is the show unit. Same with the Kia Spectra... there's a show unit in the country, but no testers or selling units.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

That's only for the outgoing model. There's a separate line item for the facelifted model:

    1.6 V (5-door) (FL) 183

hmmm, with the Dollar to Peso exchange reaching 8 year highs, car sales should be growing stronger this year... if car manufacturers would bring down car prices.

    1. kaya pala ang dami kong nakikitang Vios E sa kalye.
    2. despite good reviews, the Getz 1.5 CRDi by even the Alto. what could be the reason? pricey?
    3. lufet the 1.8 civic sales ah.

this only means that even though the there is a rising cost of fuel, and despite of the increasing cost of prices, Filipinos still want a compact car versus a subcompact and a 1.8 engine at that.

    side note:

    1. sino kaya yung tatlong may-ari ng Evo IX? tsaka yung dalawang may-ari ng Nissan Z? Wala pa akong nakikitang Z sa kalye ah, although i have seen an Evo IX MR last weekend sa expressway.

    2. bakit walang Subaru sa list?
    3. much better kung may MPV, AUV and vans category.

Runaway winner ang Civic! No challenge from other car makers but can Honda maintain it in 2008 when new models from Toyota and Mitsubishi are soon to be released? Let's see...

If you think the civic's 44.27% share of the compact car market is "dominating", look a bit further down and at the executive car section. Toyota's camry has a 41.53% share with just one model, and a whopping 81.73% share overall. Yan ang "no challenge".

since analyze analyze din naman tayo dito

Suzuki Swift sales is at 272.

    272 x P755,000 = P 205,360,000 gross sales ni Suzuki Phils on Swift alone

assuming conservative estimate of 20% markup = P41,072,000 profit nya

now apply this to all popular Toyota cars, and you'll see na ang laki kinita ni Toyota pa din. up for taking #1 slot talaga

    furthermore,

we can see that Kia Picanto & Rio buyers prefer M/T, talagang mga nagtitipid
Hyundai Getz buyers prefer A/T, so we can say this is the nagtipid crowd but values convenience
Suzuki Alto on the other hand failed to market their cheapest car, most buyers opted for the deluxe ones. this also means successful ang strategy nila suzuki on alto

Toyota Yaris beat the compact car A/T dept vs. the king Honda Jazz in less than a year. if Honda will not release the new Jazz this year, then paktay na sales nila kay Yaris.

The Toyota J's and some E's are leading the pack bec. for taxi use.

at meron pa din pala bumili ng Lancer ngaun kasi nag 300 at par with the Mz3's

and CRDi's cars only speak na not worth pa din sa masa. Focus with 85, Getz with 41, Accent with a 110 (which a fraction of it are taxis)

err... Civic in its class (vs Toyota Altis/Mitsubishi Lancer)!
Of course Toyota comes out ahead overall (with its Vios) except in the compact sedan market.

Yep, but my point was that despite the way the civic dominated its class, the camry did an even better job with the executive class market.

If you combine all of the civic's "enemies", they still sold more cars than the civic (45% vs 55). For the executive class, Toyota sold more Camrys than all the other brands and cars combined.
