I'm a newbie & planning to buy 2nd hand car budget around 100K. which brand is better? mitsubishi or nissan? maintenance wise, fuel efficiency & durability considering the age of the car, probably 92-98 model. i've seen some post in other online buy&sell sites like nissan super touring s3 '97, lancer glxi '92, lancer ex '98 among others. pls advise...

My vote goes to the '92-'95 Nissan Sentra Series III ECCS Super Saloon (B13). It's got the most features, looks good inside and out, has a good engine, and offers the most value for its price.

by the way sir, how about the maintenance? i mean, is it easy to find the spare parts and mechanic to do the work?

Nope, ang Super Touring, B14 body na yun. Mas bago kaysa sa B13, mas maluwag ng konti. Pero features-wise, pareho lang naman halos. Pero parang wala namang Super Touring for 100k. Nasa ~130-150k pa yan ah.

But among the 90s sedans, pinakamaluwag ang AE101 Corolla. Ang kaso, for 100k, Corolla XE or XL lang mabibili mo - yung 1.3 carb engine na di naman katipiran sa gasolina compared to the 1.6 EFI of other cars in the same price range. May 1.6 GLi na Corolla for 100k pero early model 'to (~'93) and most likely laspag na.

makakabili ka naman ng nissan series 3 na 100 lang eh kaya lang tiyagaan sa pag hahanap at dapat may ka kilala ka na ahente kapag ganun

no, hindi mahirap maghanap ng pyesa ng nissan.
and maintenance costs are reasonable.

siguraduhin mo lang na yung major components are ok like yung mga sensors, etc.

tama sir baruk mag B14 kana all power at efi pa mas tipid sa gasolina kesa sa b13 saka mas ok ang porma (para sa akin mga paps )

Kaya nga ko naglagay ng pictures para hindi ka na magkamali, and kahit hindi alam ng seller kung B13 or B14 yung body ng Sentra niya, alam mo na.

Again, '91-'95 lang ang B13, '96-'01 ang B14. May B13 na binenta hanggang 1997, pero this is the LEC model with the 1.3 engine used by taxi operators.

ok naman ang 1.4 EX Saloon pero for the same price range, suggest ko lang go for the 1.6 Super Saloon. Both are EFI but the EX - pre facelift - does not have power amenities other than the steering.

So kung basic car habol mo, go for the EX na
