    Guys, question naman.

I have a friend who needs to renew his license but he would be coming from Singapore and he only has Saturday to renew it. Bagong salta sa trabaho eh kaya wala pa siguro leave.

So, he plans to come in via Clark, go to SM Pampanga and renew his license there. Seems like a straight forward plan pero baka magipit sa oras. Take in to consideration the following:

    - 4 months expired na ang license nya
    - Has to take the drug and Medical test
    - probably be at SM Pampanga at 1pm

    Any foreseeable problems? Thanks.

afaik, lahat ng LTO branches ngayon specially those newly opened ones are fully computerized so it will not take him a long time to do that.....

among the problems that i foresee:

    a) computer offline. so mabagal ang processing.
    b) he has to pay penalties.
    c) sarado ang branch.
    d) positive sya for drug use. hehehehehe.
    e) kulang dala nyang pera
    f) delayed flight nya, so darating na sya ng SM Pampanga ng gabi na and magsasara na ang mall.
    g) nag-enjoy sya sa kaka window shopping sa SM, and nakalimutan nya yung license renewal nya.

    wala na kong maisip eh.

seriously, since asa singapore naman sya, why renew his license now? pwede naman pag hindi na sya nagmamadali and mas may mahabang oras sya.

Ay oo nga pala. Ma-a-assign ng matagal sa ibang pang bansa at kailangan rin pala ng international license. Saan nga pala ina-apply yun?

My license expired last 2004 and i never renewed it kasi i'm going out of the country. last 2005 i went home for vacation for a month and drove without official philippine license, i only have with me is a translated copy of my kuwait license and my passport. I'm planning to take a vacation next year. What's the best option i can take? renew my long expired philippine license or just do the same thing as what i've done last time of just having a copy of my overseas driving license plus passport?

    please advise.

    TIA!
