Choosing our First Car : Ford Escape or Honda City? Please help

Hi,

Patulong naman po in choosing our first family car. Honda City 2008 i-DSI is what initially looked at but after looking around may nag offer po sa min ng Ford Escape 2007.

Sa price at color po talaga nagkatalo. Kung matipid sa gas ung Ford Escape at kung black yung color nya at kung marami siyang maisasakay , well I'll go for it.

Kaya po I need your opinion for our first family car.

Sobrang mura ata escape anu ito down payment?

Ilan ang sasakay madalas? And will this be your only car? Ano ang priority mo? Size o fuel consumption?

Bat ang mura ng Escape? O baka 340k yun? I'd expect an Escape of this vintage to be selling for at least 300+ to 400+k. Either it is damaged goods, or the price is only the downpayment.

Of course walang wala ang Escape sa City when it comes to fuel efficiency. Both are 5 seaters din naman. The Escape just has more power, space and ground clearance. An iDSI City will easily give you double digit gas mileage on a regular basis. The Escape 2.3L gets around 6+ to 7+km/L city, and is already considered one of the more fuel efficient in its class.

If you are after big seating capacity and good gas mileage, I suppose you should be looking at the Revo, Crosswind, Adventure bunch.
