Toyota MRS (subic) at 450k

Guys, inputs about getiing a toyota MRS, subic cars (converted). If ever, what could be the problems, issues and things to look up upon getting one? And consider comparing it to a honda FD at 400k (local)

With the vast resources available for parts and maintenance, the Civic FD is the practical choice. Conversion has big risks tied to it, not to mention all the trouble that you will experience registering imported cars with LTO. .

I would recommend a Civic FD as well
But if youre looking for a fun weekend car that is a convertible you might want to consider a miata
There are a few local models in sulit for anout 450k

If youre willing to push your budget to 600k, you can get a Z3
the b plates Z3s are not converted

I'm noticing a lot of surplus cars again in Subic. For awhile way back, I was seeing mostly trucks and heavy equipment, ngayon may mga kotse na ulit.

Agree, get a Z3 or a ................... Boxster. :D

Bought my Hi ace as Japan imported surplus, never had a problem for 5 years. Yun nga lang nasa right side yung sliding door.

Never had a problem registering it at LTO east and LTO Marikina.

Don't buy a surplus car. Plus, the MRS is not a good car at all. The Civic FD would be much better, more practical and easier to maintain and tune.

There are even some Civic FD 2.0 MT being sold for around 450k.
