2016 all new rx 350 f-sport or 2016 facelifted Explorer Sport?

Lexus RX 350 f-sport (300 hp, 8-speed, awd, 5 seater)

Ford explorer 2016 platinum (360 hp, 6 speed, awd, 7 seater)

I am choosing between the two for Q4. Made a reservation for both na just in case (lexus reservation is crazy expensive compared to ford) but can pull the cash back either way. The lexus is a 5 seater and the explorer is a 7 seater.

I already have an existing explorer v6 limited. I kinda like the explorer because of its track record in my garage but its just a facelift and an engine change. If i got the facelifted one will sell my current unit.

The lexus pops out!!!!!! Its all new and the interior looks like a dream. Front fascia isnt to everyones taste but i like it. Am just worried where the license plate will go. If i got the lexus will sell my trailblazer ltz. Too bad it isnt a 7-seater. Would have been perfect.

Leaning towards the lexus ( i picked the interior color already --- topaz brown) but would like to hear your guys thoughts.

My wife will be the one to drive it though i am the one choosing the car.

For the wife, Lexus RX350 it is. Heck, even for you, still Lexus RX350.

The plate number positioning actually makes the Lexus spindle design look better.

since i'm not a big fan of the new explorer and the fact that you already have the perfect explorer my vote goes to the rx350 f-sport. really great to look at and heard that performance is really good.
