My wife uses one, ok naman sya although may kalakasan sa gas, we average around 6.5-7km/l city driving(automatic). Other than that wala naman ibang major issues, but I must warn you na medyo matagtag ang ride niya. Kung sirain o hindi, hindi kita masasagot dun coz our CRV only has 18,000km in spite na 7 years old na sya.

Mine has almost 140k kms already. No major repairs so far. I just keep it casa-maintained-- PM every 10k kms. I had a company car replacement already but I've kept this one because it's just so dependable.
I installed an LPG SGI kit so my fuel costs is already cut by half.
The 2002 models come with complete safety features-- dual airbags, ABS, EBD-- unlike the later 4x2 models.
If the ride's too hard for you, just have the coils replaced with those of the 5-seater. I kept mine hard and tough for the bad road conditions here. It doesn't really bother me that much.
