Which is better HU (stock) of 2002 VX200 or HU of 2004 CRV?

Need your input on this. Mine is a 2002 Revo VX200 with a stock HU Alpine model CDM-7870R. My cousin is planning to replace the stock HU of his honda CRV 2004 model. which is Kenwood DPX-4020. I am planning to buy the kenwd, which is better ba sa 2 model na e2.. thanks,,

Get the dimensions of both units, then measure the receptacles dimension (length, width, height). You can judge from there. Also, check on how hard or easy the wiring would be if you do change your HU. Hit the Internet. You can get the dimensions of both units from a search engine.

Have not seen or heard both so I can't do a comparison personally.

kumuha ka nalang ng pioneer HU... more features for your money at a cheaper price. 15k ata para sa 7650mp.

The kenwood has DSP.

But at 19k, kuha na lang ako ng Alpine with all the Bass Engine stuff like time alignment, parametric eq's etc...

Don't get the CRV's HU its overpriced. Get a Pioneer kahit 1-Din oks na. BTW why do you want to change your HU? are still gonna use the stock speakers? If your still using your stock speakers better get an amplifier instead and separates, IMO it will sound better than changing the HU alone and using stock speakers plus you won't be able to fully utilize the HUs features.

Actually , ang nagustuhan ko lang sa Kenwd ay yung porma niya. IluvDetailing... kung e maintain ko yung stock audio system ko..then upgrade ko n lang ito by adding amplifier..magkano ang expenses ko d2...

bongers. i agree with ILuvD. mas maaapreciate mo yung audio quality upgrade kesa sa cosmetics lang.

you can get a basic setup of an amp and a sub-woof for as cheap as 4k and for as high as 10k, including installation.

You can retain your stock HU, palitan mo na lang yung front speakers and rear speakers to Seps and Coaxials respectively or instead of coaxials get a sub for that all important bass. Get a V12 Amp if your on budget. Cost maybe around 5K up depending on the components you use.

BTW check your current HU if it has pre outs and check how many pairs.

sobra naman yan for 19k! around 15k lang resale nyan. and for 15k you;re better off with 1DIN HUs either from Pioneer or Alpine (mas better pa with 3 RCA preouts etc..


Yung DSP ng kenwood walang kwenta yun.. tunog banyo lahat hehe.. trust me the Kenwood HUs sa CR-Vs aren't worth it :P

sobrang mahal yun for 19k mahal pa sa presyong brand new yan, ang srp namin sa kenwood na 2-din hu may mp3 pa at dsp is 16k t0 17k lang

yup its kinda overpriced. anyway, the dpx 4020 is often under rated. im using this HU. and with a little DIY tuning, the sound improved noticeably. it has a handful of features that come in handy like the 3 user memory eq and the auto dimmer. it has dual preouts also. the dsp function is also great (some music sounds better with dsp). btw im no audiophile but i really think that this hu is not that bad.

for a 19k budget, kuha ka na lang ng alpine 9831 or 9835.
wag mo na pansinin kung hindi maganda ang looks.
basta maganda tumunog at tweakable.
ayus na un. imo lang.

maxado naman taga un.hehehe.. makakpag setup ka na nun... kuha ka 1 din.. 7650 o kaya un mga alpine.. tapos ampli.. seps pati 10 inch sub para pang family hehehe
