Any recommended China-brand DVD/Video player TS HU?

Hi guys,

A few months back when I bought some items at an auto shop in Evangelista, Makati, I inquired about their DVD/Video players.. sabi ko yung "affordable" lang. May Pioneer brand, but they showed me at least 2 china brands na ok naman daw. Price If I remember is 6-7K I think? I listed the brand names and price sa card and meant to research/ask about them here. But I lost the card since then

Now medyo Im thinking of getting one na. I dont need a high end one like the Growl Audio. No need for GPS too. I just need a Simple Radio with AM/FM (I saw some online na walang AM), MP3/MP4 player with DVD and iPhone support. Tapos maybe Ill put in rear camera and (optional) TV Plus na rin...

Its for our Innova which we seldom use anyway. Just thought it would be nice to have one on out of town trips or long drives (or in Terrible Traffic na 4 hours bago ka makauwi! )

So anyone have any experience or recommendations? (alam ko naman most tsikoters e sanay sa highend equipment e...baka sakali lang naman...hehe ) Any reco shops na rin kung meron man....

P.S. Pwede rin naman yung Pioneer brand.. less than 10K I saw on OLX. Problem is hindi kaya may fake ? I know kasi may fake na branded speakers/HU dati e, dont know lang kung pati DVD/media players. Also If I recall, parang mas may features yung nakita kong China brands e..

i would settle for a pioneer instead of a china-made, generic branded HU maski mahal ng onti. mas sigurado ka naman. and may warranty if acquired through valid sources.

China / Fake brands doesn't have the sound quality of the famous brands. Try putting up the volume, nagiging lata ang tunog. Unlike, say Pioneer, habang nilalaksan mo, mas nagiging buo and tunog. Isa pa, yung mga buttons and mechanicals, flimsy yung china made, while sa pioneer mas solid at matibay.

i second the motion. and besides, China made or branded HUs may fail on the hardware and O/S level.
kung ibebenta ang oto, tangalin na lang yung HU and ikabit sa bagong oto. just make sure na nakatago lang yung old/stock HU para pag ibebenta, ikabit na lang ulit.

It's all relative, of course. If you're ok with China-quality, go for it. Personally, JVC is the lowest I'd ever consider.

Consider also people who owned the V-variant Innova who have replaced their video-capable factory 2-DIN for aftermarket ones.

kung 2-3k lang difference ng china to orig 2din pioneer.bro magdagdag kana.kaysa sa china brand na sinasabi mo.baka mag sisi kalang at ma doble pa gastos mo.

may nakikita ako online, Proline GPX-7020. its a 2DIN and supposedly plays videos. not sure lang sa quality or any reviews, pwede mo naman matesting yung head unit nang hindi pa nakakabit sa sasakyan. around 5k+ lang

i'd scratch considering buying those cheap chinese generic brands. magsisi ka lang sa huli dahil sa cheap build quality tapos pangit pa ang sound reproduction niya. go for pioneer na bos
