my hu an old sony has no sub outs

it has only 4chan out : chan 1 FL, chan2 FR, chan3 RL, chan4 RR

    i got a 4 chan ampli

hooked the first to chans to the seps

as of now rear chans are hooked to 6x9s

planning to get either a pioneer tubular sub or targa stealh boxed sub tommorow

Q: can i put y connectors on the HUs rear out

    EX.
HU rear out -<tubular sub w built in ampli
    ---< -< amplifier rear on Low pass = 6X9s

Or is there another way to hook tubular subs w built in amp either pioneer or daichi

    :freak:

Yung Y-connectors ko, from 1 plug mula sa HU, magiging dalawa sila pagpasok sa amplifier.

Ryan Audio ata ang tatak. Around Php 120.00 ea.

Two pairs na ang RCA outputs ng head unit mo? What most people do is power the front and sub with the amplifier. Yung rear speakers powered by the head unit na. Rear fill lang naman iyon.

does your amp have RCA outs? Some amps have this feature. With this, there is no need for Y connectors, just use the RCA outs to connect to your sub amp.

Just a suggestion, use channel 3/4 of your amp for your sub and power your rear speakers via HU. That way, no more Y connectors.

I would stay away from Y connectors if possible...

Check your amp if it can accept 2 inputs ... that way, use your front RCA to the 4 channel amp and rear RCA to the sub

Would there be any real-world audible effects in using y-adaptors?

You will split the voltage coming from the pre-out...

is it ok to use y connectors?
