Car TV Tuner

My pal has an LCD monitor in the car without a TV Tuner.

How much are TV tuners (in Banawe/Raon)? Will any brand work? What should I look for?

Had one AVT TV tuner, AP-280, with external antenna.

The set-up looks OK when the vehicle is stationary. Reception is not good when the car is moving.

for that price i think you can get a LCD tv with built in tuner.. i think tuner prices should be 1500 to 2000... if its more than that i think its too much.

The best TV tuner for car applications are those that employ diversity antennas. An example would be the Kenwood KTC-V300N (NTSC). This however, does not work as a standalone and requires a Kenwood head unit that supports it. I have this installed just last month. The TV picture still gets blurry when the car is moving (due to multipath distortion), but it's not as bad as using an ordinary LCD TV or China-generic 2-DIN HU with TV.
