I need to put up a DVD or VCD set-up sa Trooper ko. Sobra kulit ng mga kids ko pag nasa long trip kami. That way matahimik sila sa panonood ng cartoons habang biyahe. Anybody na nag set-up na ng DVD or VCD sa mga sasakyan nila? Ano po ang magandang brand, ano pong store at saan? And last is magkano po ang inabot ng buong set-up. Salamat po.

if you have a cd changer...you can have it converted to read vcds. then get a necvox monitor around 20k. pioneer car DVD player i think retails around 60k.

other monitors like liliput have below 10k but they are not as clear as the necvox

You can also buy a VCD or DVD/VCD player with built-in LCD display. Panasonic has a couple of models which sells for around P25K (for the DVD model). Meron din Made in China brands that plays DVD/VCDs that goes for under 10K.

Madami shops sa Virra mall at greenhills.

Pro: you can take it with you for home or car use.
Con: you kids might quarrel over it.

Yung sa Expedition, pinapalitan ng father ko yung VCD player ng DVD player sa may Audiovox main office (I don't know where that is). On order pa rin yung monitor sa harap (palit HU yata).

    InVitro,

Sayang, sana nahintay mo yung upcoming upgrade ng Trooper. May moonroof at VCD na! (oops, I think I wasn't supposed to say that...).

Hehehe. Nilabas na ata ng Isuzu, eh. Dagdag 50K over the standard Trooper.

    GhostHunter,
Yung tinutukoy mong China na DVD/VCD under 10K may screen na rin ba? Portable DVD ba yun? Saan sa Greenhills meron nuon?

You may also want to check out the Audiovox showroom in Shangrila Mall. They have a wide array of LCD Screens and DVD/VCD/VHS player combos there. all installations are done by them. IMHO their video setups look OEM.

i recently had a simple setup for my SUV. i had a liliput 6.5" tv(linaw naman coz its flatscreen), converted my 2DIN single disc HU(clarion model), Necvox TV antena(which you need for local TV viewing) and some RCAs and wiring stuff including a decoder for the stereo(nilock kasi ng clarion parang PIN code sa cell). Lagay din pala kayo chalk pag may static. the setup cost me 14thou, which for me is worth it coz pag traffic, puwede manuod vcd. plus my kid loves to watch her fav, Barney. tahimik nga when naka play na.

useless kasi and mahal setup pag hidden Necvox TV o yung mounted, around 40k for mounted and up to 60k if hidden plus the dvd/vcd player.

i had mine installed sa Procars, Banawe(near KFC) and look for Nick. sa Greenhills meron din cheaper also sa mga malls like sa Harrison Plaza may store dun near Maxs, sa Megamall din meron i saw at a store. but installation is not free like sa banawe ka buy. goodluck.

    Leon275,

I had the same problem. Bumili ako ng "Gooseneck Mount" from eBay. It bolts right up to one of your mounting bolts under your seat  This way your dash stays untouched.
