How can you tell a fake V12 amp?

i just heard that there are a lot of fake v12 amps being sold. How can you tell the fake one from the real thing?

there are fake V12s and then there are fake fake V12s. the latter sucks and is ultra cheap.

There are 'rebadged' China amps (made by Saga?).

AFAIK, they used to be licensed Alpine Amp manufacturers.

But then again, there are really fake goods out there.

Marami ngang fake na V12 na amp.Bili ng kapitbahay ko 4,500 sa FAKE niyang Alpine V12 ok naman siya kaso parati nagagalaw yung wire niya.
Ako di ko alam kung may orig na alpine na amp dito sa pinas..Kung meron man ang orig malamang nasa 8-10thou ata yun or maybe more than that..

yep, the V12 is a legit Alpine model line, old school and very good quality amps

yup V12 is a line of amps from Alpine. the problem with fake amps is that yung power nung amps di masyado regulated. for example, u have an MRV-F705, one of the famous fake models of V12 with a rating of 750watts. kinabitan mo ng compatible na subwoofer, kung bumato ng 300 to 750 watts yung amps, no problem. pero since fake nga, pwede bumato yan hanggang 1300watts. imagine what would that do to your subs.

There are lots of original alpine V12's available in the market. I think it costs from 9000 to 30000 pesos depending on model. These are good-looking and formidable amps. Very clean sounding. Build quality and features are first-rate.

Dude what do you want to buy an original old school Alpine Amplifier or a V12 (made in china Alpine replicas)? The you can buy the former 2nd hand and it will set you back around 5K up, the later is sold at Raon, and the price ranges from 2200 - 3500 depending on the model.
