Planning to upgrade my 1 DIN headunit to finally a 2 DIN LCD. I am inclined in either getting a Pioneer or a Kinetic Android HU but can't decide. I need my headunit to have plug and play compatibility on steering wheel controls.Spotify and Waze must be functioning on the HU screen itself. Will probably get it installed in Araneta Car Accessories(Jeff Tan)

    Pioneer
    Pros:
    2 year warranty/aftersales
    Proven quality
    Will produce better sound(?)

    Cons:
More expensive 17300 as per ACA FB
Compatibility to steering whell controls and Apps(Waze/Spotify) questionable

    Kinetic Android:
    Pros:
More affordable 13500 as per ACA FB
Much more flexible on apps and functions

    Cons:
    Realiablity/Aftersales concerns
Display/sound quality probably inferior to the Pioneer

Any owners or have experienced using either headunit or an Android headunit.I need your feedback. Thanks in advance☺

Im using android head units on my LC200s and Kia Carnival. As long as you get a quadcore unit you will be fine. Sound quality is good enough for me. I didnt even need to amplify two of them. Very very happy with the capability.

May mga nakita ako sa Lazada na may gps+glonass na Android HU so I guess pwede na yun kasi maski iphones gps+glonass lang ang gamit.

Pinag iisipan ko pa kung ang setup ko is Android HU or HU with Android Mirror link. Yung phone ko kasi GPS+Glonass+Beidou ang receiver so mabilis talaga. Ang parang nag aalangan ako is yung response time ng mirror link sa touch screen.

I had a Pioneer 2850 installed in my wife's Innova. Not sure if they have the same software as the 5850, but with the 2850 Spotify & Waze works.

For the waze to work, you need to down load some pioneer apps in your smartphone & just sign in for it to appear in your head unit. You'll be controlling you waze thru the head unit as the would be sort of blank. It would be a bit sluggish though compared to the waze on your phone so better type in your route na in your phone before plugging it in your head unit.

Spotify also works & you can control it either thru the head unit or steering wheel controls.

I had to purchase a separate steering wheel adapter (around P2k I think) for it to work. You just have to program the head unit to match the buttons in the steering wheel.

Yes, but you need pa a connector of the steering wheel control to the head unit (sorry forgot what it's called & how much, maybe around P2k yata). Then you can assign the steering wheel buttons to the head unit controls.

No prob. The 2850 is ok na for me, spotify, waze, & back up cam are working fine. For the waze, you need to download the Pioneer Appradio apps, create an account, & log in to make it work. For the back up cam, have them install better wires/cables. The wires/cables we first used were the ones included with the back up cam. At first it was ok, then after a few months it got distorted (like the old analog tvs). So had it change to better wires/cables.

Yes ordered direct. Shipping costs are minimal. Taxes were about 2,000 pesos each which DHL advanced.

Expandability and upgrading the overall sound system will be a problem though on generic Android units. While Pioneer has a multitude of tuning options, have a strong Preout Voltage, has a very capable thick-sounding DAC and a great Bluetooth quality. Yung stock HU ng Swift ko, is an AVT unit. The sound quality using BT and USB is night and day. Tapos meron pa palang mga ibang HUs ang AVT na walang RCA out so good luck on your car audio upgrades. To think AVT costs more than most of the Android HUs out there.

Anyone here have seen AutoLink's new vid? Upcoming add-on module daw that adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to your stock HU. Parang ok na ako dun, though I still want to replace the stock AVT HU. Di talaga ako nagagandahan sa performance.
