June 10th, 2012 12:26 AM #1Hi Guys,
Any suggestion for an entertainment system for my corolla?
For audio, ang gusto ko lng sana yung magandang sound quality. May subwoofer pero pang enhance lng ng sound. Budget is P10k - P20k.
Possible ba maglagay nung mga 7inch touch screen na HU?
Thanks!

Mahirap maghanap ng HU na may LCD for your AE101. 1-DIN lang ang slot ng HU for the Corolla. Halos lahat ng LCD HU ay 2-DIN.

Impossible to have a full audio system at that budget plus the 1-DIN flipup LCD/TFT

June 14th, 2012 03:03 PM #7wag ka na mag TV DVD baduy sa car yan... kung SUV pwede pa.... bumili ka ng lang ng MALUPET na 1 DIN stereo... tapos sound deadening mo na lang... tapos clean install ng MALUPET na speakers.... wag na yung parang trying hard na car show type... as much as possible go straight ka yung tipong from HU to ampli to speakers pioneer lahat.. or sony or alpine

If I were given that budget, I'll go for these components:
1. Secondhand 9887 - 9-10k
2. Firland 602/612/Morel Maximo/Dominations D'Lite - 5k
3. Dominations Atom - 5k
4. Deadening, Labor, Wirings - 2-3k (will haggle nalang if ever)
Total: 21-23k
But then again, most people won't go this route kasi matigas ulo nila. Most have this mentality that price = quality. Not necessarily as in our industry as tuning is everything the 90%.. equipments are only 10%. I can get 20,000php speakers that can beat your 300,000php speakers but with the right tuning. This is also sub-less because (a) I won't be using the provided crossover but rather go full-active with a 63hz cutoff for the midbass (b) it would only increase the price further
So, can you stomach a 10 grand second-hand head unit? Most can't. Most would say I'm fooling them. But in reality to get best SQ, you won't need expensive speakers.. you won't need an expensive amplifier. All you need is good speakers and amplifiers but a head unit with time alignment and good EQ tuning capabilities.
I'd present to you the most common route most people would take: Get any 5k head unit, a lightning lab amplifier, your subwoofer of choice such as a JBL GT5, and Firland EV602. Throw in boxes and wirings, it should cost you around 20k.Last edited by jhnkvn; June 22nd, 2012 at 12:45 AM.
