ano ba ang pinaka maliit na size ng subs? gusto ko kasi sana maglagay sa likod ng car, yung ordinary lalagyan ng spekers... lagay sana ako ng 4. ayoko na kasi ng box pa.. lalagay lang ako 4 na subs na maliit, then sum component set in front and separated in the middle.. its not for boom-boom, jsut to get that good club quality sound pero not for show off. for our own ears lang.. and maybe a few on the outside of the car

The best space saver is Cerwin Vega, HED-8.4, 200/400watts, dual coil. The box volume can be compressed at 0.2 cu.ft. or 345.6 cu.inch at box resonance frequency of 50Hz (50 to 60Hz is recommended for moving vehicles).
The next is Rockford Fosgate, P28S4, 200/400watts at 0.2 cu.ft (computed based on its parameters and not 0.65cu.ft. as recommended by the manufacturer) at resonance frequency of 40 Hz using ported box. Though 40 Hz or less is recommended for home use, you will greatly appreciate it if your car is free from outside noise.
Bass frequencies can be categorized as BUM or BOM. BUM is more or less 40Hz., while BOM is 50Hz. and above.

The minimum size designed for subwoofers are 8", which can be tuned as lower as 35Hz. Lesser diameter are considered as midwoofer with frequency as higher as 80Hz.

trup, depende sa amp. some amp require 1 set of rca(input) kahit mono ang output. some uses either the left or the right RCA channel. this is according to one kac regular DIY.

edwin, sa hu kse galing yun 1 rca, subwoofer output talaga sya. ang problem ko pano ko i-connect yung 1 rca sa +/- ng subs, plan ko 1 sub lang naman. below yung rear view, the 2 yellow rca para sa aux, yung blue rca ang subwooofer output. yung rca's for the front and rear amp nasa other wiring harness

trup, afaik, pra g rca out (wheter mono or stereo) e di kaya mag drive ng isang subwoofer. i think even a midrage. kasi low-level signal ang rca while high level signal ang speaker wires, you still need an amp para maidrive ang subwoofer coming from an rca output.

    Tama po ito.

Trup, your HU has a subwoofer RCA out because it may have a built in crossover/low pass filter that only allows "subwoofer" frequencies to pass through that RCA line. Its output is unamplified, and thus requires an amplifier, that in turn powers a subwoofer. The amp has the +/- speaker outputs.

uber, for the new hilux give this a try. DLS 6" subs (pic shown installed on a hilux 05' model.) it comes with its own amp.
