I'm a 40+ year old guy and my affair with the BMW started when I was able to get myself a Z3 back in 1998. Long and short a few years later, I had kids and my auto shopping went from roadsters and sports sedan to vans and SUV s.

Just this year I was able to treat myself to a 2016 BMW Z4 bought 2 weeks ago from Autoallee (Green hills).

Here a number of questions I'd like to ask you guys (whether you're a bimmer owner or not does not matter)

    - Do I need to do a paint protect job done? (like the ones from Ziebart)
    - Doing a paint protect...Can it actually prevent swirl marks?

This car will be with me for the next 3 or 5 years or so...

Do note: I've never used any of my past bimmers as Sunday cars. Using them as much as possible.

    Thank you all.

I can't answer any of your questions as I'm clueless about paint protection. But all I can say is nice car!

    What's the engine?

    Thank you guys.

The Z4 is an expression/extension of my long love affair with my Z3 (My personal car for nearly 14 years). I was 25 years old then... coming from a 318i (E36) that was given to me by my dad.

Yun lng the initial experience with the Z4 does not rival the "joy" I had back in 98 when the Z3 was delivered in my home. It's either I'm getting old or iba lang talaga ang first time na naka top down.

Still happy and thankful though that all my "obligations" were met and now it's my turn naman to get something for me self

    Ok lang yan boss...

The reason I got the Z4 is because my partner wanted me to have a "refined" sports car.

I'm still getting an MX-5 dahil according to my GH..."Aba parang car na naghahanap ng girlfriend yan ha" Nyahahaha yan ang gusto ko I'll look younger baka maka bola pa uli

The BMW Z4 series car had a lot of engines in its production history. The first one came with a very German-like straight 6 petrol engine, the second generation came with a smaller and more fuel-efficient inline 4 cylinder engine and in the later years till today, powerful and stronger V8's and V12's have also been offered. The options currently available are the same as mentioned earlier, bigger and worse coming in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants. With Diesel engines getting popular in the west since 1997 Diesel engines are also offered.

congrats sir on your new ride! Ganda!

    Regarding sa questions nyo sir,

Yes definitely you should protect the paint, with aleast a wax.
Yung coating ay option nyo po yun sir, but it does have advantages.

If it prevents swirls, yes sir, depende po sa type of coating usually it adds 2H of hardness sa paint. Still a 2 bucket wash will still be recommended.

Hi there, long-time Bimmer owner here. Our cars do not have a top-clear coat as i'm sure you are aware. I myself wouldn't put anything on top of the beautiful original paint, just use Zymol regularly to keep the swirl marks away
