ATTENTION: ACP Officers

This is burjegol, and as far as I can remember, I am one of the early members of ACP in its budding period. There was even a members listing in the ACP web in which I was able to see that indeed I was a member of this club.

Then the last time that I visit the ACP site, I found out that my name was not included in the members list as well as others who were formerly listed as its members, which gave me a reason to wonder why.

Now if it is that I have not attended your EBs (at least 2 as indicated), the reason is that I am an OFW an my vacation does not nicely coincide with your sked EBs. Of the members, the only one I met was Qwerty, wherein I was able to get my ACP sticker. On my last vacation, August, there was a DYI for the installation of insulation in the ceiling, methink initiated by Ms. jane. I was trying to get info re this matter yet I did not receive a response to my queries.

Since it is in your by-laws that in order to be a member you must have at least 2 EB attendance, and since I have difficulties attaining this, all I can say to you folks is NICE KNOWING YOU even if it is only in this forum. My best regards to the success of this club. And don't fret as I will remove the ACP sticker from my vanzy as I am not a bonafide member.

Sir, During the initial formation of this club (around September 2007?), I was one of the accepted member. As I was an OFW, I got no chance to attend the EBs being held, though I got a chance last summer 2008 but I missed them at their meeting place. Sometime ago, I met Mr. Qwerty along the road. I inquired where he got his sticker and he produced one for me.
Not so long ago, the members' listing in ACP includes me, akal, Judell and others who were really enthusiastic upon the formation of this club. Somewhere along the line, rules changed, we were dropped from the members' listing and as what the ABBA singers sang, "The judges will decide, the likes of me abide" Hope this answers your query.

P.S. as of present, the ACP has 26 official members whereas before, we were more than 30

ako mahirap din maka-atend eb si misi kasi 2 tsikiting alaga nya then bunso ko 7 mos. pa lang. sana kahit once lang maka-atend mga OFW pwedi na. vacation ko kasi 2-3 weeks lang swerti na lang if eb is with in my vacation. tapos next vacation na ulit...wahh impossible talaga...

Hello there mga kakosang OFW! 'really sad if me namimiss tayo special event sa Pinas like the ACP EB. Almost a year din ako di nakatiempo sa mga EB but still the hope for the chance is there and thanks the time had come naka1EB rin then hopefully if di magbago schedule next EB sa Oct.17 maka2 nako then mabago na uli vacation time ko di na uli makaattend pero still time will come, open welcome naman sila sa ACP.

I understand your sentiments sir, kaya iyong nahihirapan na kumuha ng time para maka-attend ng EBs eh natanggal na as a member kahit na DATI NG MEMBER. Sana nai-consider nila at least iyong mga nauna ng members na wala pang rule na iyan...and inimplement na lang sa mga bagong napasok as member... walang magagawa dito, sila nagawa ng rules, so if hindi maka-abide sa rules, hindi ka pwede. actually, nag-react ako that time, kaso wala silang pakialam. just posting a comment... :peace:

At higit sa lahat yun ang way ko to THANK THEM kasi dahil sa mga experienced nila sa pagsashare thru posting marami ako natutunan at higit sa lahat nagiging aware ako. tama si nencilla..ako nakuha ko yung sticker ko after joining the on-line forum muna. si sir dindo ang tumulong na maregister ako online. kay qwerty ko naman kinuha yung avanza sticker ko kasi magkalapit lang yung office namin.

then after some time, nag set na ng rules and regulations on how to become an official member of the ACP. which i believe is maganda naman ang objective/purpose ng paglalagay ng rules and regulations. maganda rin naman na may set of rules and regulations para may konting bahid ng formality and order. so to become an official member you have to attend at least two EBs after which you can get the official member counter sticker.

yung mga rules naman ng club are not absolute. like kung talagang nakita yung effort ng isang member na from tarlac o quezon province pa eh pinilit pa rin umattend ng kanyang first EB dito sa metro manila, may mag-oobject pa ba kung at his/her first EB attendance eh bigyan na siya ng "official member" counter sticker?

wala naman pong pilitan sa pag-attend ng EBs. marami akong nakikita na active pa rin sa forum and are extending their assistance and help maski na hindi sila umaatend ng EBs.

at sa kahit na anong organization may clashes po talaga ng views. and ang maganda lang dito sa club, lahat ng sentiments pinakikingggan. hindi man po agad maaksyonan ang isyu ng ilan, pasasaan ba at darating din tayo sa punto na maiaayos ang lahat.

This was a response to a PM to me early this year. I think this will answer a lot of questions. My responses are in blue. This is a copy paste.


Prez i just want to comment on the following:

1. One the requirement to become an official ACP member is thru the attendance of two official EB. Hmmm mukhang mahihirapan ang iba (me included). Job related kasi...... It means the possibility that the official members are confined to Metro Manila and nearby provinces only. Of course we can not discount the fact that others from foreign land somehow manage to attend because of sheer luck, happens to be in the country and have all the time and will to join EB/s.
Sana mejo mabago ang guideline.

Kaya inimplement ang 2-EB rule ay para ma meet talaga ang gustong mag member ng club. Also to encourage participation sa mga club activities. Sana we will have another swimming EB this summer.

may mga tao kasi na pag nakakuha na ng sticker, naglalaho na. Kahit sa tsikot.com, hindi na nag lo-log. may mga tao naman na may tanong regarding the avanza, pag nakuha na ang sagot, naglalaho na rin.

Regarding MM and nearby provinces lang na question. Isa na ito sa mga topics na pag uusapan sa EB sa 27.

Nature talaga ng mga car clubs ang mga EB or regular meetings.

Member ako ng www.altiscluczz.com. you have to complete 5 points and be part of a batch (with sort of a graduation EB) to become a regular/official member. A regular EB is 1 point. 2 points ang mga grand EB. I have only 2 points. more than a year na akong member. baka nga nawala na ang points ko sa tagal. but I can still learn a lot about the ZZ in the forums. Kahit paano, I can share din naman. I have the same handle and avatar as with tsikot.

2. Is this the reason why I cannot anymore access the online list of members?

For now, reset to zero ang official member list para mailagay kung sino talaga ang official members. Actually I was proposing sa club before na mayroon "conditional member" para sa mga hindi pa naka pag comply sa 2 EB rule.

3. It really took time for me to get my Avanza- MY 1ST EVER NEW CAR!. As I came across the tsikot website, I managed to get very informative inputs hence my membership and eventual owning of the the unit. Nauna pa nga ako sa iyo, right?

Isa na sa purposes ng tsikot.com ay ang pagiging place kung saan puwedeng mag share ng kung anu-ano, isa na rito ang Avanza.

My Avanza is also my very first car. tsikot was instrumental kung bakit avanza ang binili ko.

Actually, binasa ko nga ang original Avanza thread twice para I could get more inputs and insights. BTW, during that time, it a medium length thread pa lang.

4. As I tried to be a relevant "member", I involved myself to the forum. Contributed not so much but the I have the intention of a true and a relevant member.

The forum is the place for sharing. Once nagkaroon ka ng account sa tsikot.com, member ka na.

dito sa tsikot.com, kung nakaka less than 300 posts ka, tsikot member ka. pag more than 300, tsikoteer ka na.

5. Bottomline sir: I am sad that some cannot be an official member because of the "two-EB attendance".

Gagawan namin ng paraan iyong mga OFW, wala rito sa luzon, etc. na puwedeng maging official member ng ACP.

6. Anyway, rules are rules. It's a "take it or leave it" matter.

nag simula ang ACP dahil sa common denominator na Avanza owner, gimik, EB, mini-Eb, fun run, etc. dahil sa dumarami na ang mga members, we have to organize our selves the same as other car clubs. Ang ganda lang this time is that dahil inaayos na ang club, any member has a say kung ano ang magiging rules and regulations ng club.

Once na organized na ang club, take it or leave it na ang mga rules and regulations. Di na basta basta ang "charter change". hehehehehe

Now is the time to contribute kung ano ang magiging direction ng ACP.

7. As I voted for you as the president, I know you will carry the club to better heights. Though I am not a member, I will always continue to support what we have started. I owe tsikot and the club a lot.

Thanks for the vote, but I am not the club. I am just 1 in many. There are a lot of ACP members who do more than what is expected of them all for the good of the club.

No contest on this point. This is your personal opinion and I respect that. And like you, I learned a lot from them. As what the saying goes. And beforehand, congratulations on your new ride. Well, you really moved heaven and earth in order to attend the EB. And you know what, my dear? I have been trying to but circumstances would not allow it. The last time I was there, your August EB was slated on August 29. My sked flight leaving Manila is Aug 28. There was a supposed to be DIY regarding ceiling insulation of avnaza, slated i think Aug 21 (? ). I was asking for information on where is this to be held but no one answered my querry.
This is my opportunity to meet some of them but . . . you can check that on Avance DIY forum, around aug 18 to 20 or so.

Am I a member of this club? I thought so since I have the sticker on the windshield of my baby. I don't claim to be an official member, just an accepted member. And I am a certified Avanzers since I own (My wife ) owns an Avanza
