Avanza DIY (Insulating Firewall & Ceiling + bluelight)

[Marfin]

Meron pa ako natitira ng 10mm (double sided) insulation material from previous project (engine hood insulation) kaya nagkaroon ako ng idea coverin ang firewall at yung front ceiling(driver+passenger).
This is how i did it, although its not in detailed masmadali etong gawin compare sa engine hood insulation.

Remove the rubber.... hinde ko alam ano tawag jan. (from driver side)


Remove the pullhandle from passenger side.







Remove the SunVisor


After removing all the rubber from the door this is what you can see inside the ceiling ng vanzy natin. There is only a small piece (30cm x 80cm) of foam i think it serves as a sound deadening material.

Baka pwede mo ng masilip kung may thread yung parang abang for pull handle sa driver side? May nakakapa akong butas sa ceiling, pantay sa screw slot ng pull handle kaya lang baka walang thread. I remember gusto ni Pres na lagyan ang driver side. Parang kailangan ko din para kapitan pag nagpupunas ng roof.

Nasilip ko na sir, kanina din umaga pinakita ko sa ACP na may butas talaga sya pero walang thread. Pero pwede siguro gawa tayong paraan jan.

You can really see how fit the material is.
(Note: inside of our avanza ceiling there is also gap or space between the brace and the hood)
After inserting it, final touch is fixing the 4corners of the material by fitting it to the gap or the space between the brace and the hood.


I wasn't able to cover up the whole ceiling (busy w/ ACP outing), this afternoon after the outing driving from bulacan to manila, i can really feel the different of my Air conditioned setup. On hot sunny weather i use to set my AC regulator to half and fan speed to #2, this afternoon fan speed #1 and regulator like 1/3 setting. Hmmm could it be because of the heat resistant material??

Kaya nga nung ipinagawa ko ang bahay ko, pinalagyan ko ang bubong ng insulation. Malaking difference talaga!

Hindi mo ba ba nilagyan sa likod? 14" lang ba dapat sa harap? Hindi mo na tinanggal yung dome light?
