Guys I need help on how to get rid of the scratch sa trunk door ko. anzahl paint ko tapos i parked my car sa labas ng bahay ng GF ko after two hrs paalis na ako mukhang pinag tripan yun koste ko at ginuhitan as in talagang nmalalim mukhang pako o susi ang ginamit. Good thing dun lang sa trunk door lahat ang damage. How do i get rid of this? Do i have to repaint the whole trunk or may other solution pa?

January 12th, 2004 09:16 AM #3you can also try to add some touch up paint but since it is a long gash this may take some time... if not done properly touch up paint looks horrible. be sure to apply the touch up paint only to the scratch and not on the edges of it.
other than that, repainting your trunk is your next option.

January 12th, 2004 10:33 AM #4A colored wax will not help, it'll just make the blemish worse by filling in colored wax particles and chalk that doesn't match the paint at all and will just wash off after a wash anyway...
Your best bet is to have the panel touched up or repainted... You can't buff it anymore since the paint is no longer there. Unfortunately, linear scratches are incredibly difficult to touch up and level.

January 12th, 2004 01:00 PM #5from someone who's tried to do this many, many times - a long, deep keyscratch can never be touched up and look even decent. save the headache and just get the panel repainted.
