guys patulong naman kasi nasabit ko sa pader yun auto namin CRV mejo makitid kasi yung kalsada tumama yung bumper nagkaroon ng gasgas at mejo malalim yung pagkaskas pero mejo maliit naman kulay flat black yung bumper, ano ba paraan dito na DIY lang gagawin ko para mejo tipid at di mahalata yun gasgas di na kaya ng rubbing kasi nasugatan na yung plastic ano ba ilalagay ko para matakpan yung mga gasgas at pinturahan ko na lang ng flat black tutal maliit lng naman.. Try using Armor-all or even the tire-black (on the damaged portion only). The important thing try rubbing some oily stuff like the aforementioned products, which does a better job of covering than painting it black (which comes out ugly esp if not done professionally).

Does your RAV4 have a monotone or two-tone paint scheme? If its monotone, you can use the can of touch-up paint that came with the vehicle. If its the two-tone paint scheme, I'm not sure if Toyota included two cans of touch-up paint ( 1 for the body and 1 for the bumpers/trims) with the vehicle. If they did, you can also use those.

But if it were up to me, I would not want to touch-up the scratch. When professionals paint vehicles they usually follow a manufacturer's "formula" (ratio of paint to thinner) as a guide to match the exact color tone of a certain vehicle. However, in the case of the touch up, 100% of the time the paint that will be brushed on will not match the tone of the rest of the vehicle, making the "repaired" even worse or stick out like a sore thumb.

If its a minor scratch, I'll just ignore it. If its a substantial damage, then have it professionally painted.

Pano yon kasi ang lalim ng gasgas meron bang parang masilya na nabibili sa mga hardware na pede ko ilagay para matakpan lang yung gasgas at pinturahan ko na lang ng flatblack yung part na may damage?

same thing din kase nangyari sa bumper ko, un nga lang medyo malaki gasgas. kasing laki ng kamao halos and malalim sya kitang kita. eyesore talaga, although wala naman yupi. had the whole bumper repainted, dinamay ko na din ung malalim na gasgas sa may bandang fender. anzahl paint sya, pearl blue ang color (ung nagiging violet kapag nailawan). civic eg ung kotse. total bill is P3,700. ok na ba un? d ba masyado mahal?

yup... tama si number0001... yung gray / silver portion ba yan? if so... walang touch up paint na binigay para dyan.

pinababayaan ko na lang ang gasgas sa mga area na yun. medyo hindi nman masyadong halata at gray.

Ok rin yan dude. Bili ka na lang acrylic putty to fill the gap, sand, thence spray paint with flat black. tapos na problem mo.

AFAIK pag bumper ata walang damage and repaint lang, mga PHP2500-3000 and thats a Urethane paint. Nagpamahal ata diyan yung color...

magilos: If I were you, don't DIY it, mas pangit ang lalabas believe me unless marunong ka mag pintura. Ipunin mo na lang yung gasgas tapos pa pintura mo sa professional.

Sige ipunin ko na lang yung gasgas kasi malamang magagasgas nanaman ulit yon sobrang sikip kasi don sa kanto samin saktong sakto lang yung sasakyan. kulay itim yung gilid ng bumper ko nung nagasgas namuti yung part na tinamaan pano ko tatanggalin yung puti don sa plastic nilinisan ko na pero nandon pa rin yung puti. kahit yon na lang muna matanggal ko pano kaya yon. plastic nga pala to hindi pinturang natuklap.. You can use diluted gasoline and see if it comes off. Or you can use a stronger solvent like rubbing compound. In both cases, use sparingly since you might end up seeing the base coat soon enough if you are not careful.

nde ko namalayan nasa harapan ng car ko yung stroller ng baby ko, ayun nahagip ng gulong at pumasok sa ilalim, namuti (or grayish?) yung bumper, ginamitan ko ng 3M Scratch Remover and presto!!! maayos na ulit ang car ko wala pang 5 minutes... pero ang masama si misis bumili ng bagong stroller.
