Na-obserbahan ko sa Casa, pag nasa labas yung mga sasakyan, tinataas nila yung mga wiper. Siguro, para di maging brittle yung rubber. Kaya ganon na rin ginagawa ko when I park under the sun.

di ba may nabibiling lifters para sa wiper blades? it's some sort of plastic gadget that you pur under the wipers to get it off the windshield pag mainit ang panahon?

o kaya bili na lang kayo ng silicone wiper blades, no such problems as those rubber wipers. ako more than 2 years na wiper blades ko walang problem kahit ano.

sa mga gumagamit ng wiper ups. do u use this only when parked o kahit while driving. i do it kc isip ko, masisira din wiper rubber while driving and mainit ang araw.

why not just use old news paper in narrow but thick sheets to lift it a bit? I think it would be a lot cheaper.

what i do is i apply armor all to the rubber. it cleans and softens the rubber.

non-vtec, i believe nasa label mismo not to put it sa wiper blades, it smears like there's no tomorrow hehe...

pepengtom: you should replace your blades 2x a year regardless of usage, natural rubber especially will dry up and stiffen regardless whether you use it or not. Keeping the wiper suspended (like wiper up or singit-ng-papel) minimizes windshield scratches as well since dust and particles won't settle onto the blade. During your first "wipe" lahat na nakapatong sa blade kakayod sa windshield.

Speaking of which, our 88 Maxima dati high tech talaga, pag naka off yung wipers, automatic naka angat yung buong arm :D

Theveed, did I read it right? Twice a year wiper replacement. I used to buy Bosch Wiper, 2x per year din ba ito. I haven't seen it mentioned in car manual to replace the wiper that often. Anyway, thanks for the information, this might be minor car parts that we usually overlook.

FM: Once or 2x a year is often recommended. Dumi kasi satin talaga eh.. Ako I usually stick an old set of wipers during hot months, then put in a new one pag rainy season ulit hehe... kuripot. At least once a year dapat.

Basic rule, as long as it doesn't wipe the glass totally dry and clean, replace them.
