"New Car" scent

how can i make the interior of my car smell like a brand new car? I've tried calif scent "newport new car scent' pero iba pa rin ang amoy ng brand new car e. May can spray ba na nabibili para sa ganitong amoy? Any ideas?

there's no way to renew the smell of a new car... that odor you smell is actually the plastics and vinyl inside your car's compartment emmitting gases from their "curing", so to speak...

Maybe pag nare-finish na yung mga vinyl parts with a fresh, new vinyl surface, that smell will reappear, but that's highly unlikely coz reuphosterer's vinyl rolls probably have been fully cured already...

Exactly what gives rise to new car smell? The answer, not surprising to chemists, is a complex mixture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), primarily alkanes and substituted benzenes along with a few aldehydes and ketones.

Nearly every solid surface inside a vehicle is a fabric or plastic that is held together in part with adhesives and sealers. i'm planning to buy pa lang, meron akong nakita sa true value sa park square lighter type siya. bili na lang ako nun, sawa nako talaga sa amoy ng calif scent e.

I don't like putting a car interior air freshner... It tends to be too strong when you leave your car under the sun for a while and if your air freshner is empty, the interior will start smelling musty and bad. This is expecially true for those gel type air freshners.

I agree with you on this one. I'd personally rather have the interior not smell like anything than have it smell like an air freshener. I'm not particularly keen on artificial scents, they make me sneeze like you wouldn't believe

I think it helps to open up your outside vents, switch to fresh (instead of recirculate) with your A/C on and drive around to get rid of the musty smell if you do end up with it.

Yung fresh car sent ng Gen 1 CRV ok. Ang tagal pa bago natanggal.

As for the Lysol be careful when spraying it in the interior... mamumuti yun vinyl parts ng oto pag na lagyan ng Lysol.

Nakakahilo rin pala Lysol so open the windows muna for a while par mag dissipate yung alcohol fumes ng Lysol

maglagay nalng tayo ng old skool na scents like going steady or yung pine tree. heheheheh..

Lysol fumes are bad, make sure you stay outside the vehicle (while leaving the doors/windows open) for several minutes before leaving... Poisoning yan...

Personally, I hate car air fresheners... sama ng amoy lalo na kung nagaccumulate sa upholstery...

Amoy taxi eh hehe...

Most of the time, hindi natin pansin na nakakahilo yung air freshener coz sanay na tayo sa amoy ng oto natin... But kung may sumakay, maaamoy nila na nakakahilo yung dating coz talagang sensory overload eh... Just like when you step inside a cab or FX na tadtad sa scent, nakakacarsick.
