My Review: Paint Tricks Marikina (Highly Recommended)

Last Wednesday I had my Trooper re-painted at Pain Tricks Marikina. Panels to be repainted are the rear door and quarter panel. I also decided to have it sanded and rubbed down for the extra shine. Had some difficulty looking for a parking slot because of the clients' vehicles to be repaired (daming customers), so I was forced to park at the side road leaving my hazard lights on.

The lady who approached me, Cecile, who was kinda cute in some way, was very pleasant and attentive to customers (unlike other shop representatives who pretend to be busy and snobish). Anyway, in 15mins, all inspections and documentations were performed and I finally said byebye to my truck. Cecile told me to check on it on Monday since target completion day is tuesday.

Before checking the status last monday, Cecile called me up and informed me that there will be a delay because of the ugly preparation that the last painter did to the quarter panel (They told me that the last shop who did the quarter panel's repair was very unprrofessional..."tinambakan lang ng tinambakan ng masilya".) I was a bit frustrated due to the delay but I admired the honesty and professionalism of Paint Tricks. i understand that they want to do the job correctly and I also understand that the delay was not their fault. They didnt see whats underneath the repainted quarter panel the time I brought the truck in so its not their fault.

Come thrusday morning, my ride was on the final stage of rubbing. I wanted to perform a visual check-up on it so I called up Cecile again (nakukulitan na sakin itong taong to..hehe). Cecile told me that they transferred the vehicle to the house of the owner, Raymond Caro. It was nearby the shop so going there was not a problem. The vehicle was on their "rush" list that day and true enough, when I arrived at the house of Raymond, there were several workers on my truck.

Raymond was very accommodating telling me that they really had a hard time removing old stickers and re-painting the quarter panel. He also admitted to me that they only do exterior detailing (which was awesome by the way) and interior detailing is not their expertise (I really admire the honesty of this guy--he told me that if they can't do the detailing job, they refer their clients to BIG BERTS...the experts in detailing).

By the way, there was no problem with the color matching...perfect!!! The sanding and rubbing gave the truck a gloss and shine above my expectations. When I got my vehicle back, it was clean from outside to the inside. No more car wash needed unlike other shops that leave the cleaning up to their customers.

Overall, I'd rate this shop a 9 (from 1-10) because of the parking issue (hirap magpark). All the rest were perfectly done.

ang pagkaalam ko is P2,500 per panel.. and the sanding nakalimutan ko na.. hehehe
magkano ba djerms?

yup they chrged me Php2,500.00 per panel but I didnt ask for a discount...nakalimutan ko..hehe. not sure if this is their standard price thos. baka depende din sa extend ng repair.

napaayos mo na rin pala yung trooper mo... wait 3 months before applying any wax or sealant.

so sa 2500 di pa kasama sanding?
what does the 2500 cover?
Is it 2500 for every panel?

or

2500 for the first panel and a slight discount on the succeeding panels?

What paint did they use?

yup finally. thanks for the tip bro. hanap nga ako ng magandang pangtuyo after washing to avoid swirls.

2500 per panel ang charge sakin. it was all worth it naman. Sanding was 3k for the whole vehicle. They use sikkens or dupont paint. Kung saan daw mas makukuha ang color.
