September 26th, 2013 11:13 PM #1Kumusta fellow Tsikot car enthusiasts!
I am planning on distributing premium car care products in the Philippines but would like to ask for your help in determining a few unknowns such as brand familiarity and demand.
I know for sure that most car enthusiasts there are familiar with the likes of Meguiars but trust me, there are a lot of other less-known brands that surpass Meguiars' quality. Here's a small sampling of the brands I'm hoping to bring over there:
Klasse
Blackfire
Dodo Juice
Duragloss
Souveran
Chemical Guys
Sonus
...and more.
You can freely search for these products online, application, results, etc. Let me know if you would be interested in having local access to these items.
Maraming Salamat!

Wala masyado demand kaya wala din mga sellers. Mostly yung mga interested sa mga premium products has the means din to import directly online. If may seller man medyo expensive din kaya ako I bought mine directly and paid for sea freight na lang. As for Dodo juice meron na din distributor dito.

September 26th, 2013 11:30 PM #3Good point jmpet626. Pero ang balak ko sana eh ipasok diyan in bigger quantities para maibaba yung price rather than mag-order directly from an online merchant at gumastos ng malaki for shipping.
Granted mas mahal yung premium product pero ika nga nila, you get what you pay for. And hopefully in this case, pay less than yung current cost ng mga available diyan.
Thanks sa feedback!

September 26th, 2013 11:40 PM #6Retz,
Initially inisip ko nga i-offer sa mga car detailing shops pero since specialty products ito, either kakain ng profit nila or magtataas sila ng presyo to recover yung cost ng products. Hula ko lang yan for now - kung malakas yung detailing shop, baka ma-absorb na rin lang nila yung additional cost ng product in the hope na bumalik-balik yung customer.
Otherwise, ang market ko if ever will mostly be mga car enthusiasts talaga - yung inaabot ng ilang oras sa garahe maglinis, mag-apply at mag-buff.
Malakas ako gumamit ng Meguiars dati pero as an example, nung gumamit ako ng Klasse AIO polish + glaze, parang night and day ang difference. Walang comparison. Yes mas mahal sa umpisa pero since konti lang ang kailangan gamitin, in a way parang mas mura rin lumalabas. Yung glaze for example, isang barya lang kailangan for one whole panel.

i agree with sir jmpet. mahal presyo nga mga sellers kaya nagiimport na lang direct karamihan mga detailing enthusiasts.

September 26th, 2013 11:55 PM #8Siyempre ita-try ko i-undercut ang current pricing diyan to stay competitive. Masyadong broad ang product base ng Autogeek although I have to say, magaling sila na merchant. Pipili lang ako ng select few products/brands na nagamit ko na personally that I can stand behind.
Kung may mga na-try na kayong premium products, ano mga preferred brands/products niyo?

plan ko din yan early this year. kaso talo ko sa shipping pa lang
nakaorder naman ako ng konti for personal use from amazon dahil

September 27th, 2013 10:24 AM #10Thought about this as well but it seems it's a very niche market. If you will do this due to your passion for detailing and not as a primary mean of income by all means do so
And forget about CG there already is a local distributor (tried being a distributor as well hahaha)
Good luck on your future venture!
