Sorry for my ignorance but when would be the best time to have a washover?
Is it necessary?
What's your experience regarding washover? Would it really bring the new car paint quality?

beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, po.
i have seen running cars, whose paint condition reminds me of a kulahan.
it all depends on you, sir. there are no rules. and you won't get flagged down for an ugly paint job. guaranteed.
look at your pocketbook first, then decide.
one thing: if bare metal is exposed, have it painted asap. kahit primer lang. avoid rust.
It really depends on the condition of your paint. I’ve seen cars that are still new but have swirl marks and faded paint all over. If you plan to have a washover, consider a shop that will include glass coating with it. A shop in Bacoor has that, & the price with glass coating is not too far off from just a plain washover.
I will avoid having my car repainted as much as possible. Almost all paint shops, hindi kayang pantayan ang quality ng factory paint.
Even my friend who actually owns a paint shop advises the same.

The only time nagpapapintura kami ng kotse is if when there is a scratch deep enough na exposed na yung bakal. Iwas kalawang lang.
Pag plastic lang yung tama, bahala na hehe
In my case, bangga/deep scratch, panel lang pinapa paint ko.
When to do a full body paint... 1.5months after I put a for sale sign and wala pa din good offers.
*ts
no rule at all.
depends on the wallet and if you can afford to take the car offline for 2 to 3 weeks.
as for me, whenever my car accumulates enough dents and scratches that i cannot ignore anymore, i would go for a full washover / repaint rather than doing per panel. gray / silver is really hard to match.
why don't you try waxing it with nano ceramic first, bKa yan lang ang kailangan. Most old cars yan lang ang ginagawa, but dependent sa overall quality ng existing paint mo.

I've yet to see paintwork done aging as well as factory.

no sense in restoring if the owner doesnt know how to take care of the paint in the first place [emoji28]

Like this owner? LMAO!
You own a BMW and yet you can't afford a proper paint shop with a booth? Face palm to the 10th power.
All the dusts and debris will stick to the paint like glue and will be laminated with it. Expect it to crack, peel and bubble with all the contamination.
Tsk! Tsk! Nightmare.![]()

Might be fine for you with dusts, dog hairs, sands and gravel mixed with the paint (LOL). But, I wouldn't recommend this type of paint work, environment and oblivious to safety to anyone. Not that hard finding a paint shop with a booth with proper safety gears like masks, paint suit and all.
I wash my car by myself, there is no set time, if the car is dirty enough, I will wash it
