I'm 85% decided to have our car wrapped (my older car only had a ceramic coating which I feel is just a waste of time and money - although the paint still looks better than cars of the same age)

Anyone here who has tried the services of Elite X Wrap Specialist & Coating - Quezon City?
    Error

Elite X was recommended by my neighbor and price is very reasonable. Asked my neighbor to allow me to closely look at his PPF this Dec (6 months after it was installed) for me to see if his film will peel off .

    Any other recommended shops?

Any Recommended PPF shops in Makati or Taguig near BGC?

Most of the PPF shops are in QC or in farther areas of Pasig and Paranaque.

Anyone tried Ziebarts PPF? not sure how good theirs is.

Lots of shops offering PPF now but with different brands. May XPTT, Tokyo Film, Profilm, etc ...

Which is the best: made in tsayna, Japan, Thailand, UK or others?

Equally important as well is the reputation and quality of the shop, btw.

I've tried the black XPTT and it's ok so far (1 month pa lang), just the roof and A-pillars though.

I haven't fully decided yet if I'll have the lower half of the car wrapped or just get Ziebart's Z-gloss (which I am assuming is cheaper than PPF, am I right?).

ako naman, I'm thinking of just having the roof + hood + front bumper

I can imagine how the hood and bumper will look like. pero yung roof, di ba makikita yung parking where the PPF ends?

I was initially thinking of fully wrapping the car. kasi nawalan ako ng gana sa dami ng tatanggalin sa car just to have it wrapped properly... including the emblems.

Feedback ko ay 6mils lang ang XPTT while the Profilm is 8mils. Yung Tokyo Film nasa 7mils lang daw.

okay lang siguro kung baklas ang kailangin baklasin para malinis ang pag lapat ng PPF.

Are there shops accepting just wrapping the front and rear bumpers? I think those areas have the highest exposure probability of being scraped by pedestrians, MCs, bicycles, etc.

shared a video earlier... No PPF is perfect, I agree with the guy na if you look really hard, you'll see it.
Ceramic Coating vs PPF (Paint Protection Film)

saw some cars with full PPF din complaining that they lost some letters sa emblems nila.

personally... I can't imagine na kakalasin ng detailing shop yung bumpers and door handles ko.

yup. you can send them a message. I don't think may shop na tatanggi since $$$ parin nila yun.

Most "tinga" packages also includes the headlights , tail lights and door handles.
The important factor you also have to consider is the type of coating you will choose to top the ppf.

The installer took great care in ensuring the ends were tucked nicely in the seams, so hindi talaga kita. A roof and the A pillars are pretty straightforward to wrap naman.

The lower half is a different story because of the decals, lights, door handles, curves, mirrors, rubber moldings+seals, etc.

The kalas factor is definitely what's fueling my indeciveness to get the lower half wrapped. Buti sana kung yung casa ang magkakalas.

Puwede din puntahan ang shop para nakita kung paano sila mag baklas ng existing customer unit.

Pihikan naman madalas customer ng PPF kaya expected na maayos sila mag baklas at install.

"If your priority is protection, what you need is paint protection film (ppf)"
"If your priority is appearance , you need ceramic (coating)"

Well, most shops now offers ppf packages with ceramic coating on top.
You can get the best of both worlds.

    agree...

pero you'll remove that PPF later. (my personal estimate, 5 years later)

minsan naiisip ko if the car's clear coat will be strong enough para di sumama sa PPF when they remove it

Paint Protection Film (PPF)
