Thanks for the tips. Very useful especially to us beginners. The other thread I believe is more for the pros because of complicated processes which are indeed very hard to follow.

In between waxes, maganda din ang Microtex NanoSliq compare to Turtlewax Platinum Detailer.

ako consider newbie pero eto regimen ko weekly:

    1. microtex shampoo - using microtex mitt
    2. microtex - microfiber for drying
    3. microtex nano glos - then buff with microtex plush
    4. meguiars carnauba wax - then buff with microtex plush
    5. microtex nanosliq - then buff with microtex plush

tried switching 4 and 5 pero parehas lang ang result.

then kahapon nagpunta ko sa bigberts araneta para sa one time application ng optiguard - habol ko is claying kasi may overspray ako..good result natanggal lahat ang overspray.

    then bumili ako ng :
    - carlack 68 nano systematic care - ito yung tulad ng AIO
    - carlack 68 new paint - eto yung tulad ng SG
    - mothers reflection wax
    - mothers reflection top coat
    - mothers reflection quick detailer or QD

mag mix and match ako nito para mas gumanda ang looks...

yes nanosliq is good, most of my friends are using it as in betweens...... As for me... i would like to use OCW ...... i believe OCW is better.... dunno lang yung preference ng iba....

My suggestions for basic car care:

    Car shampoo
    2 buckets
    Wash sponge / mitt
    At least 2 MF towels
    Cleaner wax
    Foam applicator pad

That would already do, Terry, Plush and Ultra Plush are all towels ideal for buffing off wax, Terry is their cheapest but also one of the most under looked towel they have that can perform its job quite well, just make sure its always clean when you remove wax

For drying and using a MF towel, would 1 big MF towel be enough to dry a whole car? i mean..it wouldn't be too damp for drying even after wringing out the water?

drying with a chamois makes me cringe.
