hi mga sir. newbie lang po.

naubos na yung nanogloss at nanosliq ko and thinking of upgrading. hindi ko lang sigurado kung ano yung mga kakailanganin kong chemicals. I dunno if giving the car color would help pero it's velvet red po.

eto currently yung meron ako:

microtex shampoo
microtex sunshield
microtex tire black
glass science rain clear
glass science scrub

which of the three collinite waxes do you prefer?

915
476s
845

i'm planning to have this regimen:
wash > wax > wax > lsp (lsp every wax, reapply after a month or two months)

ano kaya mas okay?
shampoo > nanogloss > collinite > nanosliq
(then nanosliq every wash. reapply after a month or two months)

shampoo > collinite > reflections car wax > reflections top coat
(then top coat every wash. reapply after a month or two months)

i'm mainly rooting for budget, durability at ease of use na rin.

*jfelli: Sir, your current arsenal is already good. In fact I almost have those too. The difference is for the windows, I use Elevo Water Mark Remover (liquid) then Rain X as water repellant. So far I have achieved great results.

The Collinite waxes that you put, I only have the 476 and I noticed that it looks shinier or the color is deeper on our satin silver Civic as compared to when applied to our tornade red Dmax. But it's really durable. They said that if you wanna go for looks, opt for the 915 but it's more expensive and less durable than the 476. The 845 is similar to 476 but it's easier to apply since it is in liquid form.

In your regimen, I noticed that it's all waxing. Have you already clayed your car before? Have you already cleaned your paint before? If not, better look also in paint preparation than just waxing alone since you will never achieve that great result if your paint is not well prepared.

Ex. shampoo > asphalt remover (kerosene) > shampoo > clay > step 1 > step 2 > step 3 or LSP of your choice

That is just one of the hundreds of variations that you could do depending on the condition of your paint or products that you have.

By the way, try Nanosil also, sir.

For this choice: shampoo > Nanoglos > Collinite > Nanosliq
It's better sir, if you put the more durable product first as the base so in that case Collinite then Nanoglos then Nanosliq. Nanosliq every car wash, for me I don't really do it. After washing, I just leave it like that. It's already clean anyway. I will apply Nanosliq perhaps the next day if there are light dirts or other contaminants. Or after 3 washes, reapply wax.

For this option: shampoo > Collinite > Reflections car wax > Reflections top coat
If you don't have the Reflections car wax yet, then Collinite is already more than enough. After applying Collinite, try doing the spit shine and apply another layer instantly or wait for a day, a week, it depends on you then apply. If you don't have yet the Reflections top coat, Nanoglos is already ok as a replacement. But that if you have those already, I don't see anything wrong with this option.

Sometimes what I do is Collinite then Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax or Optimum Car Wax. At times Nanosil > Nanoglos > Nanosliq.

As to reapplying a month or every month, it's up to your discretion. I noticed that if the car gets washed frequently, say 3x in a week, I feel that I need to apply already.

If you're looking for pocket friendly, get the Microtex. You might also wanna try Turtle Wax Platinum or the Ice. Mothers and Meguiar's are also great products. But for durability, get the Collinite or Optimum Car Wax.

* rna: i had my second session of Optiguard by BB last week. how should i maintain it? during my first session, my maintenance regimen was only car wash using Microtex shampoo and Nanosliq. enough na ba yun? or should i include Nanoglos first?

thanks sir umi. so i would stick to nanosliq. time to buy that gallon at true value. i used the nanosliq again on my superior red santa fe after the strong rain last wed night. ayun, mabilis nalinis, makintab, madulas at walang swirl marks. but note that it was detailed by mothers step 1-3 a month ago and washed and waxed using nanoglos a week before and used once a week only. so fairly protected ang paint kahit maulanan. the strong rain left light brown water marks across the body but the nanosliq removed these effectively leaving a good deep shine. its been almost two weekends already that i havent used our hose to wash and shamppo our cars.

Honestly sir, I haven't tried that Optiguard New Car Paint Protection of Big Bert's. But if it's like applying the Klasse/Carlack 68 twins or Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 or LSP of your choice, I guess you could maintain your car's paint the way you maintain it the first session. I don't see any reason why you couldn't put Nanoglos or any other LSP on top of it after its curing time. It's just that those products are already durable enough especially when put in conjunction to each other and another layer of wax would be unnecessary. But there is really no general rule as to how many layers of wax you could put. If you think the beading is starting to fade, apply Nanoglos. If you think the gloss or shine is starting to deteriorate, apply Nanoglos, it's up to you. But make sure you don't apply any products that have cleaners in them since they can remove the sealant or wax on your paint.

gamitin ko na lang gauge nga yung beading. question now if Nanoglos is a cleaner wax? potentially hindi siguro because Nanosil is part of the product line of Microtex. contradicting pag cleaner wax ang Nanoglos, tama ba?

hindi pa rin ako nakakapag-clay and clean ng paint, for 4 months shampoo and waxing lang lagi.

how often should we have our cars clayed po ba? I usually wash during weekends lang din, duster lang every weekdays and QD, guilty rin of being OC, pag nakikitang may alikabok yung sasakyan at yung tipong hindi papayag na masandalan at mahawakan yung paint.

and I notice pag natapatan ng fluorescent yung paint may mga micro-scratches na rin, ano kaya ang pwedeng gawin para matanggal sila? ang mga nababasa ko kasi necessary yung rotary or buffing machine for removing these scratches, meron ba way na by hand application lang?

I don't think Nanoglos is a cleaner wax, sir. They said it's a hybrid wax since it could also act as a sealant thus the need for curing time. Yes, I would assume that the cleaning part is the job of Nanosil.
