I just waxed my car with the new Meguiar's NXT tech wax (bottle). Sobrang bango! Even better than the Gold Class wax, and considering it's a polymer wax, it should last more than the Carnauba type. Very happy with the results myself!

April 3rd, 2007 09:22 AM #5Pls recommend a non-glossy viynl protectant and/or cleaner. How would you rate Armor All, F21, Mothers and Megs.

Whatever you do, don't get Armor All. Aerospace 303 ang gamit ko. Kung gusto ko may amoy, Meguiar's Interior Quik Detailer. Mabango rin Mom's. Pero for the dash, and for real SPF protection, yung Aerospace 303 nilalagay ko where ever the sun could shine on na matagal like on the dash, sa rear deck, rearseat na sandalan, door trim, etc.

what will you recommend to clean windshields?
i have these nasty watermarks on the windshield and windows. Sabi sakin dun sa detailing center sa amin, parang acid rain daw. They quoted me P1k to clean all the windows and windshield.
Gusto kong i-DIY eh.
Rubbing compound kaya?

with shampoo, with QD, with paint cleaner...etc.. they're not just for drying basically, thus, to answer your question, yes.

Thanks for the reply! Just to follow up, I bought a YELLOW Microtex microfiber towel - does it make a difference? Thanks again!

*bogart, somewhere in the early pages of this thread, a then-newbie detailing enthusiast (named patopig, having the same problem) used a mixture of vinegar and water for those waterspots. hth (as I have not yet had the need to rectify such a prob).
*louien, what do you mean by "does it make a difference?"?

May 9th, 2007 10:03 AM #10Because if I'm not mistaken I read somewhere that the yellow Microtex towel is for drying only (this is the only microfiber towel I have for the meantime)... I just want to keep my carwash paraphernalia kept to a minimum i.e. shampoo and towel for BOTH washing-shampooing and drying (a bit oldschool as my dad used a chamois that's rubbery that you were supposed to store wet/ moist to clean our old cars with...
) or is this simply an incorrect way to do it? Appreciate it!
It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
