Question to the detailing gurus. I have a few visible scratches that I got from the carwash when they were drying my car(Kaya I promise myself to DIY wash much as I can and not opt to go the easier rout). I've read the long detailing thread and what it basically says is start with the least abrasive product when correcting scratches. Here is what I'm planning on doing
1. Clay the scratched area to be polished(is this needed for spot jobs?)
2. Mothers Phase 1 Pre-Wax cleaner
3. Mothers Scratch Remover(If pre-wax cannot take out the scratch)
4. Mothers FX Syn Wax
I'm planning on using Syn Wax to seal the polished area because I currently have Klasse Twins applied to my paint. I read somewhere that synthetics(Klasse?) and carnauba don't mix. Is my plan of action correct?
Your thoughts please.
PS when apply Phase 1 and Scratch remover:
1. Use applicator to put product on the scratch area.
2. Let the product haze?
3. Work the product in using light circular motions.
4. Do I have a waiting period before I seal the polish?
