July 5th, 2010 01:25 PM #5392Hello, for me try the Sapphire Paste wax its a good wax especially for whites because it really gives that clean and bright glow, but if you want to use another product with it, i would recommend another paste wax also from collinite which would be either 476 or fleet wax, the sapphire paste wax is a little expensive and you don't need its cleaning abilities every other week or so, so putting on some 476 and fleet wax might help reduce your cost, the sapphire's durability falls slightly below 476 but its cleaning abilities are world class

July 5th, 2010 01:27 PM #5393You're doing alright, what you're doing is fine, its just that some of us want more for our cars so we opt to clay the car so the waxes bond properly making it last longer, we put on glazes to make it look better and hide swirls, we put sealants so just incase our waxes fail we still have the sealants as second protection, its just those stuffs that we add but your regimen is already good.

July 5th, 2010 01:32 PM #5394Collinite is not that well known in most detailing forums because its really not that well advertised, and top that with the fact that most people find it hard to remove also makes it less popular but in all honesty one of the most under rated product, 73SS is good and i've tried it already and i wouldn't recommend it if its not good, if i were you what i would do is step 2, sapphire paste and then step 3, why? sapphire has cleaning abilities that might just remove step 3, where as putting step 3 later would prolong sapphire paste. If used properly the reduction in the clearcoat is nothing significant, you can wax for the next 20 years and still have clear coat left.

July 5th, 2010 01:39 PM #5397hello albert, my BF told me you were the loudest and organizer of the meet up, i personally apologize if the seminar wasn't pushed through as a whole day thing, i was the reason its a half day since i need my BF to go with me to divisoria and buy the things we need for the shop, haha as with edwin's detail? if ever you bring your car to him i'll make doubly sure its in top condition, hehe see im better at inspecting details compared to him, and i hope i could meet you guys next time when things are not as hectic as last weekend.

July 5th, 2010 01:43 PM #5398hahaha don't worry collinite has a product called insulator wax 845, 845 is basically a liquid version of 476, its easier to apply and remove since its liquid but it offers about half the protection of 476, jerome's selling it, my BF used to sell it until he switched to 476 purely, its used as a wax and its hand applied.
