Just finished waxing using Mothers Step3 + Microtex NanoSLIQ..

Found out that the NanoSLIQ streaks lesser if the surface is really slick prior to application.

Mothers Step 3 makes the surface really slick, pero walang kintab . Tingin ko nga natanggal pa yung filling capabilities nung NanoGLOS that I applied a few days ago. Malalaman ko mamayang gabi if nawala nga. If kayang talunin ng NanoGLOS ang Mothers Step3 pagdating sa protection, aba sa NanoGLOS na ko, hehe, makintab pa.

    Pics later

What is more durable po and which protects more? Moms step3 or NanoGLOS?

*Starex_Gold: well in terms of paste waxes, it doesn't really get that bad when it comes to age, we used to import collinite and p21s from the US and stock them for like 2 years and there's no difference between them, it does get a little harder but we kinda like it like that since its also more economical and you really apply thin that way, we don't like the just release batches of paste waxes where they are still really creamy, we actually have a collinite 915 that we totally forgot that sat down for more than 3 years and its still ok, but well since its quite economical actually since a little really goes a long way you could get just 1 and it would last you a long time, i just don't know if you would come across the same promo again

*Chikselog: for that you would really have to check based on personnal experience, i haven't really conducted a thorough test on it in terms of durability like comparing 2 panels against each other, me and my BF just actually might but its still the process, but if you're gonna ask me about durability i would say they both stand toe to toe against each other if not NanoGlos might even last a little longer, i noticed that with NanoGlos its like even if the shine it no longer there, you could still see water beading on the panels, something reminiscent of collinite for me but collinite still lasts longer

*Starex_Gold: well i have to be honest here, NXT would beat the crap out of 915 in terms of ease of use thats for sure, but in terms of looks, beading, durability, clarity, depth and sleekness? 915 would leave NXT in the dust. 915 is actually one of my default show wax so it stands at par with p21s and liquid sourveran but NXT doesn't even stand anywhere near them, and if you are a fan of meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus actually looks better than NXT, its the local Megs default show car wax not NXT, but the downside with Gold Class Carnauba is that its literally gone with just once wash, if you get lucky its gone with 2 washes, so its really just a make up show car wax and doesn't offer any real protection. NXT is just better for those rainy days since it beads nicely and it lasts longer and protects better than most OTC

*Starex_Gold: if you plan on having a car that still looks great just after washing then once every 2 to 3 weeks would be ok, but if you just want it to look good you could even wax just every 6 to 8 weeks, the good thing about 915 for me is that even if you wax your car, the shine is still there even if you wash it 6 to 8 times its still there, and then slowly diminishes after, unlike most OTC that are gone with just 2 to 4 washes and its totally gone, i actually show car prepped my friends car, slapping on 2 layers of KSG and then 2 layers of 915, its been nearly 6 months already and it still looks like it was just waxed, the only maintenance he did was weekly 2 bucket method wash. oh yeah one other thing with 915 though, don't get it near rubber trims since it can stain, and its best to leave it to really dry before you buff it off, if you have a hard time buffing it, a little QD works wonders, we noticed that the shine lasts a lot longer that way. Just think of it this way, for 1200 pesos, its cheaper than NXT at blade, and with me using it for how many years, and its high rating on different US and EU based auto review sites, who could go wrong hehehe

Uy mura yung collinite marq de elegance sa 1.2k. Kelan sila nag sale sa autbisyo? Yung 476s 700 lang din? Interms of durabiliity mas maganda ba yung 476s vs. 915?
