Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover

Just to share my experience with others who may have the same TAR problems with their cars.

Had a business trip to San Pablo Laguna a few days ago.
There's a bunch of road constructions and asphalt overlaying.
In some cases, I can actually hear asphalt hitting my car's underchassis.

After washing my car myself, Im very much disappointed to see that a couple of asphalt or perhaps TAR was stuck in all directions. Even cleaner wax failed to do the trick.

Last night, I chanced upon turtlewax bug and tar remover at Rustans Rockwell.
Its only 200 bucks so I thought I'll give it a shot.

This afternoon session was a success! After a few spot spraying, I was finally able to wipe those pesky TARs off my car. I then applied some ICE to make sure the paint is still protected.

So far so good!

switched to this from the cyclo brand of the same product. mas mura kasi. so far no complaints

WD-40 works just fine for me.

Just about anything that is "sticky" comes off very easily with WD-40, bumper stickers, decals, etc..

I have even heard it said, that WD-40 is also good on sore elbow joints (tennis elbow).

I never tried it myself, but I did recommend it to a friend "as a joke", and he came back to thank me for such a great recommendation.

Same here. Mura lang naman so I tried it. Una dun muna sa me bandang ilalim ng rear fender, yung natatalsikan ng gulong. Spray on, leave for a few minutes, but don't let dry. Then punasan ng paper tissue or basahan. Effective.

Does this have same effect as using a claybar?

Not really. Yung mga maliit na tilamsik ng aspalto kaya pa. Yung mga baked on na tapos malalaki at makakapal medyo hindi na. Ang ginagawa ng tar remover na ito eh pinapalambot yung tar para pwede mo sya punasin after a while.

Exactly ... But follow up with wax to make sure protected pa rin yung spot

a bit late, i use Super Wipe... just apply some on the tar spots, leave for a minute or so, then wipe/buff off... works fine for me
